Al Muharraq

Muharraq, which used to be Bahrain’s capital until 1923, remains to be one of the best places to go to if you’re interested in the traditional Bahraini culture. It also serves to be one of the main historical attractions.

What an old bakery (khabaz) would look like. If you look closely, you can see the stone stove where the bread is made.
