Imagine

by

Imagine…

you were a 1 year old child

clinging to dear life, helpless in a shelter

your sleep disturbed by an explosion and falling debris

the very building that was your shelter…

is now collapsing on top of you

You grasp for air in the darkness

under the bricks and strewn body parts

where you remain alive for hours

crying helplessly for help

but it never comes

Eventually you get tired and close your eyes

to surrended to the last sleep

No more pain…

No more cry…

It’s the end.

Imagine…

Imagine being forced to watch your country bleed…

but not being able to do anything about it

Imagine waiting desperately for days to hear from your family…

because they were sleeping under a table for 10 days…

fearing the raining bombs over their heads

Imagine you built your own home…happily…

To see it get crushed over your own family…

As it get hit…

As it burns…

As it breaks into pieces..

Imagine…

When you think for one second..

That you can finally live in peace..

You get butchered infront of the eyes of your own child…

And die slowly..as your hear him crying in your arms…

No need to imagine

Because it all happened.

It happened…In Lebanon
