Did you know that former IDF commandos trained Kurdish soldiers? Like the media – NYT, WaPo, CNN, BBC – didn’t know the Israelis were in Northern Iraq. OH my God, what a surprise!! Well, too late now, might as well just ignore it…..Give us a break! We get lied to about Israel by every mainstream media outlet as if their lives depended on hiding the truth. Anything you read about Israel in the mainstream press is first approved by AIPAC and the Israeli government, so most of it is just total crap.
Did you know that World Bank Profits from Poor Countries and Receives more than Disburses? Did someone believe that a Neocon like Wolfowitz was going to work for a bank that actually HELPED the poor or that the Bushies would put in someone who was not going to get more out than he put in?
Did you know that Because Israel is a different kind of democracy (a fascist kind); the Arab Israelis who did not support Israel war on Lebanon war are getting punished, hard!

Did you know that Israel is not withdrawing from Lebanon quite yet… Oh how SURPRISED we are!!
Did you know that an Israeli Colonel got 6 years for raping female soldier? It happens all the time, but the women are afraid of consequences and don’t report the incidents. Even Katzsav’s 8 victims waited for years, until set the ball rolling…
Did you know that Lebanon war has made abuse a part of the West Bank checkpoints? (Not that the Israelis need much of an excuse….) …“From that moment on, according to Muhassin’s testimony, he was exposed to cruelty and abuse for its own sake. Sergeant H. and Sergeant Y. dragged him to the APC, he says, placed plastic handcuffs on him and forced him to search for his escaped friend in the fields of thorns on the sides of the road. But after a short time they changed their minds, and without any advance warning began to hit and kick him…â€
Did you know that US war costs since September 11 exceed $500 billion (and still no electricity….)? “The total cost of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and enhanced security at military bases since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks could reach $549 billion this year.”
Did you know that IOF can shoot Lebanese stone-throwers if lives threatened? Just like they did here…. but the stones must have been the invisible kind…
Did you know that following the recent war in Lebanon, Ynet has received several complaints from Israeli companies that have encountered refusal of companies from various countries to cooperate with Israelis because of the war crimes? “Belgian hi-tech company specializing in development consulting notifies manager of Israeli company seeking cooperation that ‘your country has conducted war crimes and is an apartheid regime.â€
Did you know that Bush’s own church urges pull-out of US troops from Iraq and is urging direct action to end the war?
Did you know that Millions of Evangelical Christians around the world support and constantly pray for the State of Israel? “We’ll fight for Israel.â€
Did you know that majority of Americans want the United States to increase diplomatic efforts over Iran’s nuclear ambitions, while 70 percent oppose the use of U.S. troops to thwart Iran? Ok, this probably qualifies as a rant
And I will admit a strong dose of sympathy for it, But look let’s be realistic, you can’t attract flies to vinegar.
Has any of our rants changed Prez. Bush’s policies one grain of sand? No.
Has any of this data here changed the minds of any Israeli politiician, or even strong supporters of the Israel gov? Probably not.
I wish you luck if this posting makes you feel better. Get it off your chest and then relax.
Neither Israel nor Palestine will go away. Reconcilation will eventually happen. But don’t ask me when. No these are not the disguised words of apathy. Merely a realist.
Besides suicide bombs are not the answer. (of course neither are rubber bullets, or air to ground missiles.) Perhaps a Shia confederacy, and a change in US gov.?
Nice post, but try to calm down some. Maybe if you studied Japanese ?
I think his point is not necessarily to have things changed but rather to increase awareness on these issues.
How would studying Japanese help calm him down? It’s just going to add to the stress if you ask me!
And Edo, I made a thread about you here.
Haitham, how much corroboration have you got for the more wild stories? The Israeli diplomat with explosives one for example?
I have never read a better defence of anti-Semitism.
Not that I respect the author for it.
People do not paint swastikas on our synagogue because of a lack of made-up stories about evil Israel. One can hardly claim that there is a lack of them.
And why would anybody understand that the Israeli government doesn’t want to talk to a group that wants to destroy Israel? If my neighbour wanted to kill me, would I feel like he is my partner in solving neighbourhood problems?
Synagogues in France are not being burned down because people don’t know enough bad stories about Jews. Synagogues in Germany are not protected by police officers because there is a lack of badly needed criticism of Israel. Arab nationalists have not tried to throw all the Jews into the sea because nobody reports Israel’s outrageous crimes committed by the Jews who are fighting for their lives.
But the worst thing is, perhaps, that Israel was actually HELPING the Kurds fight the dictator who attacked Kurdish villages and gassed Kurdish children, not killed them in battle because Kurdish fighters were among them, but simply to impress. How evil of Israel to feel compassion for Arab nationalism’s other victims.
And those Christians who still believe that the Jews have a right to survive, even middle-eastern Jews, how dare they!
As for President Bush, I know the world’s affinity for the murderous dictators that Bush is fighting. But having grown up under American occupation in a country where such a dictator was removed by the Americans many decades earlier, I cannot say that I applaud the world for its stand. The “world” would rather see people like me die, I know that. I have even come to accept that fact.
But I resent the idea that it is particularly noble to fight for that goal!
I was in Israel during the last war. I KNOW why fewer people died in Israel than in Lebanon. It is because WE were evacuated after being shot at without warning. That doesn’t make US more evil than the Lebanese, thank you very much.
And I guess that if you look at the other stories you know about Israel, you will find similar simple explanations, IF you need explanations rather than a reason to hate.
P.S.: Israeli Arabs are lately speaking up for Israel a lot more. You might want to remove stories about them from your list. It’s become too obvious.
I also suggest you post something similar on Yom Kippur.
Posting the most anti-Semitic article I have read in a long time just during the Jewish Days of Awe is not bad, but for the fullest effect I suggest Yom Kippur (Monday).
Alternatively, get some country to try and wipe out Israel on that day. Gives you a chance to complain about Israel winning that war later.
This long list of : „Look what they did“ – I read other blogs – mainly in american over-patriotic blogs – with quite opposite opinions but with the same intention “Look what they did†– the Jihadists, the fanatic Palestinensian suicide bombers, the Muslims in general etc. – they only tell what the others did, but not the crimes of their own – like they were the good & the other were the bad – & you do exactly the same – your list of ‘do you know?’ (what they did) – doesn’t impress anymore – some parts of it may be true, but some other parts of it are just made up like this blatant lie of the Israelian diplomat with these explosives in his luggage – I read that linked article of the ‘truth’-site (an utterly lies site to me) – where it was presumed that Israel would attack its own embassies & people just to stay present as victim to the worlds view. – That remembers me to weird conspiracy theories, that the Jews had done the 9/11 attack. – How weird is that?
Another of these ‘did you know?’ was that an Israeli Colonel got 6 years for raping female soldier – ok so an Israeli Colonel got 6 years for raping female soldiers, but what should that tell us? – Do you mean that all Israelis are rapers? – In all the world there exist prisons, because in all nations of the world there exist rapers, muerderes, thieves, cheaters, robbers, abusers, child molesters – there’s a lot of rapers in all countries – we got them here in Germany & nobody is proud of them & all countries try to get them & sentence them & get them into prison – it’s absolutely ignorant to write about a single criminal in a country in context to a rating to the whole country – only people with perfect prejudices do that!
wow what a nice anti-semitic article you wrote there. I’m an american and I support my country and I support Israel as well. Israel didn’t start that war hezbullah did. You say my government bad, ya like you should talk. sow listen up Hitler, Israel is not going anywhere and as for my country we will always support a free democratic Iraq.
The story about the Israeli diplomat arrested in Argentina does not come from a reliable source, but from “Red Kalki” a neo-Nazi group that we are supposed to believe has reliable sources.
I hardly think this is the most anti-Semitic posting you’ve ever read… Better just to comment on the post itself and present an argument than to accuse someone of being this or that…
Argue, debate, don’t just accuse. That’s the best way to get into the discussions we need to have here.
You’re right Esther. I don’t even know why Haitham posted this here. We’re supposed to start a productive dialogue on this site and NOT “strong” rants such as this one.
Haitham, we have Israelis here too brother. I understand your frustrations but let’s criticize each other in the spirit of intellectual debate and not rants like this one.
Plus, such rants like this belong to the forum and not here.
No, disrespect intended. I hope you take my points into consideration. You’re part of Mideast Youth. Let’s practice what we preach in our mission section alright bro?
So? Shall we get a productive debate started?
First question: do believe in peace with Israel or the destruction of it?
Drima, I don’t have a problem with the post as such. I am even happy to have rants. Go ahead rant. I think in responding to a rant, we should use argument to make our points. Haitham used some language that I do not agree with. I am offended by the use of neo-Nazi sources for example. But it’s my job to point that out. But I think that we should respond to the actual post with argument and debate rather than with hyperbole.
I think Heimo made some good points.
I will make another point: the fact that Haitham uses many Israeli sources points to the fact that the press is alive in Israel. It is active. Israelis are clearly asking themselves hard questions such as should we negotiate with Hamas? How do we deal with our problems? From my pov in Iran, where any journalist who asks a tough question may find himself/herself in prison, open discussion and airing dirty laundry is a good thing.
I think the fact that he used many Israeli sources is indeed a good thing.
Israel does certainly employ too much of brutal tactics at times. I also think the challenge is up to the Palestinians now to overcome their differences and form a good unity government. It takes 2 hands to clap.
I checked out this site via recommendation of Michael Trotten…needless to say I don’t think I will give the site any further interest. It appears the “World View” will not leave any well meaning web venue alone. This World View is nothing more then Idiot Rants and has no influence on events…just a bunch of childish pouting. My advice: Get a job and quit blaming everyone else for your own problems.
Oren, your absence will not be our loss. We want to attract readers who can constructively criticize posts instead of categorizing them under “idiocy.”
Goodbye.
All of you are criticizing the statements below the video, what about the video. Can you calsify that as an unreliable source. For those who did not notice, those are dead bodies in the sheets. Notice the size too, they are not very large or heavy which shows you that they are children. I have yet to see anything that shows the brutality that the Isreali soldiers use on CNN or FOX.
