And I thought it can never get any worse than this.
WTF is this? If this is what the people in the Middle East watch… O.o I am gona go put on my tin foil hat and hide inside my refrigerator.
PS: I thought Fox “News” was bad.
Esra’a
That was also a piece of art.
Jina,
The thing is, Fox News does it very professionally, whilst, the Islamic Republic Television does it in the silliest possible way.
I should have known that Pirates of the Caribbean was just another Zionist tool. That whole part about how Jack Spearow helped Theodor Herzl write Der Judenstaat was a dead giveaway.
Ezra,
Indeed!
And don’t forget Disney – totally Zionist. Why else would Disney films all have happy endings? Think back to 1967. Israelis had the happy ending – they came out victorious. Disney is bringing that horrible memory back to life and shoving it down our children’s throats. “The Israelis always win.” And our children just buy it.
Remember Aladin or whatever the brown man’s name was? He had to pack his girlfriend in a magic carpet and fly the hell out of our nasty Arab lands. Where do you think they immigrated to? Israel. Obviously.
Oh and do you see who they employ for the animation voices? Jews.
And who produces these films? Jews.
And whose technology do they use? Israel’s.
You shall not get away with this, sons and daughters of Israel. We are onto your games, and so is Iran.
P.S. The “looney” in Looney Tunes is Ahmadinejad. Further proof of the fact that it is anti-Iran and anti-Islamic.
Burn.
Esra’a
If you can read Persian, take a look at this. I will try to translate some of his silly words soon.
these absurd conspiracy theories made me really laugh – even if it’s sad & disturbing, that there really exist people who believe in such obscurities to common sense..
erm … i don’t get it …
whats the connection between Jack Sparrow and islam or jews .. ?
I always had Walt Disney as the best cartoon & animation makers , i also watched many of their events and meetings …
i just cant see why they are the bad ones now ?
Xplanation please ?
LOL, this is a good one
Seriously – can it be that Persians, in the cradle of human civilization, are dumb enough to believe this shit?
Honestly – what does your average Ahmad al-Farsi think about this?
Raccoon, why would you make such a statement?
Just because this stuff is aired does NOT mean that people actually believe it. Do not insult the intelligence of a nation consisting of 70 million people based on how their media functions.
Don’t worry, it’s just a bunch of weird conspiracy theorists who draw these connections to make you more nationalistic and anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-Jew, and sometimes even anti-Sunni or anti-Arab. Everything is a Jewish and Zionist conspiracy for these people.
LOL, if I see Fox News, I’ll have to say the same thing. You just replace Persians with Americans.
Cradle of human civilization is Baghdad not Persia. You know the Baghdad I am talking about right or do you need my 5 year old nephew to come and show that to you on a map? Do you know what a map is? O.O
Honestly – what does your average Joe think about your ill informed comment?
LOL, you guys are quick to take insult
Must the language barrier or something. I am wondering whether your average Iranian actually believes stuff like this.
Jina – you really can’t take a compliment, can you? I am giving Persians credit for Cyrus’ empire and legacy, and you somehow take offense
BTW, I am not an American, I am Israeli Jew.
This kind of started on the wrong foot, didn’t it?
Hail Eris!
PS -
Thankfully, this was an amusing misunderstanding. I needed the amusement, given the shit going on in Lebanon at the moment.
When you imply that they must be stupid enough to actually believe this shit, there is nothing obviously “sarcastic” or playful about that statement. It’s an attack, and yes, it’s something to be offended by. Shock and awe. It would be good to just make sure that we get the “joke” sometimes, there are a lot of people who state similar things on this website and especially through hate mail. You can’t blame us for being a liiiittttttle paranoid about people making these claims to us.
Well I’m glad you had your LOLs.
And I’m glad this was a misunderstanding.
Stick around. It’ll be good to have you.
I also apologize if my first comment came off as rude. Take it as a “shock.”
Esra’a -
Hmmm. Dunno. Hunams in general are pretty stupid beasties (no offense, yes?
). And given the crackdown on independent media (and, indeed, thought), it wouldn’t surprise me if the young, not knowing anything better, will believe pretty much anything.
Hey – it worked in Nazi Germany, USSR, Imperial Japan, Communist China…
How much does all this apocalyptic, kill-the-Jews, death-to-america pseudo Nazi crap resonate with the populace?
And hey – I am a Raccoon. We eat garbage, for fuck’s sake… so no worries about offending me
Part of the problem for me is that sometimes I don’t know whether to find it funny or to find it frightening. I mean, it is truly absurd to the point of it being comical, but on the other hand there is always a little part of me that is just a little bit frightened when I see something like this.
Esra’a
Yes, I think “looney†conveys his actions very well.
Heimo,
If acceptence is a process carried our through deliberation, then no one really takes these ideas seriously. But, in some sense, yes, most Iranians do not turn the TV off when they hear these silly points.
MooDy,
Let me if you need to attend a few months of ideology classes to grasp the ideas.
Raccoon,
I think Esra’s has analyzed your comment very well. I just wanted to mention that “Ahmad al-Farsi” can not be a Persian name. We do not use “al” in Persian.
Jina and Esra’a
Thanks for the support.
Ezra,
you can not imagine how many people have been abused and imprisoned for reasons as funny as this “debunking” show. So, you are right. This is actually really frightening.
He must’ve heard it on some it’s-fun-to-mock-Iranians show. I think they give us your names sometimes – “All the Arab Mehdis,” which I guess would amount to 3 or 4 Mehdis because that name is hard to come across amongst Arabs.
Esra’a
You are right. Mehdi is used commonly by Iranians because it’s the name of last Shia Imam.
LOL again
Lighten up, gadies and lentlemen… I used Ahmed because I knew an Iranian guy named Ahmed, and I used al-Farsi because I thought it’s funny. Kind of like naming the average Israeli Yanke’le al-Yahudi. Even if technically it should have been Plony Almony or Eli Cohen.
Esra’a – if you know of any it’s-fun-to-mock-Iranians shows, please do share. Mockery is holy.
And before you start, no, not just mockery of Iranians – mockery of everyone and everything.
*sigh*
I’m just a Raccoon asking a perfectly reasonable question in the face of the approaching nuclear holocaust.
Well hardyharhar, wasn’t that just hilarious?
Hysterical comedy gold. High five for the laughs, or shall I say “LOLs”?
Mockery is welcome just as long as it doesn’t welcome racism and stupidity. Know your limits.
Raccoon and Esra’a,
I think we are all learning how to be friends while we also don’t want to loose our sense of humor. And that’s exactly what the intention behind having Mideast Youth has been. Right?
There is a difference however between an insult and a joke. You can’t insult someone’s race or nationality and then imply that it’s a joke. It happens a lot, and in most cases it is hardly funny. It just comes off as an ignorant statement.
I’m a big fan of humor, especially satire. I don’t mind if people insult me and where I’m from, just as long as it’s not an ignorant implication. When something is more insulting than funny, I will point it out. There is a limit, despite the “lighten up!” responses. People need to remember that if they cross the line, they will get these reactions. Too bad if they don’t like it, they’ll need to get a better sense of humor which requires them to be more open-minded than offensive and downright silly (I was going to say stupid, but that’s too harsh of a word, and it would imply that Raccoon is stupid, which is not true.)
Esra’a
I think I agree with you but the thing is sometimes the difference is not that obvious. Any way, have a good day!
Esra’a -
I can understand your position, but I wholly disagree with it. There’s no point in looking for insults where there are none intended.
And I didn’t intend to insult anyone – frankly, I still don’t see what the fuss is all about. The only stereotype I have heard of about Persians is that they’re cheap (but then again, it refers to Persian Jews).
To ask whether a populace believes the propaganda it’s being force-fed seems like reasonable thing to me… but, as I have said, I am a Raccoon and therefore a silly creature by definition. Since I don’t like walking on eggshells, I’ll just bugger off and find some garbage for dinner.
Salaam.
The Raccoon,
It’s irrelevant to your comment, but in Iran we say Salam in the beginning of a conversation.
Arash – hmmm… you don’t use it as “farewell” at all?
