Picture of the Day

November 29th, 2006Esra'a (Bahrain)

Oh man. Those in the Gulf are going to love this:

What an immature and silly thing to laugh at, but my friends and I can’t stop laughing. “Zaqqa” in the Bahraini dialect means “a shit,” so this guy’s name translates to Dr. Qasem the shit. I hope this guy never operates on me – I can tell that he’d do a shitty job.

  1. Esra’a
So, now, I know one Bahraini word. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can fly to Bahrain and use my knowledge. I might be beaten up by the Taxi guys in the airport. :)

  2. Hahaha. There are lots of Farsi speakers in Bahrain. :D and English is also widely spoken, I think you will be fine if you ever visit (which I hope you do!)

  3. Chakerim! (tell me if you know the meaning of that). :D

  4. Yeah, I think it’s a response for when someone says or does something kind, right?

  5. An internist? I guess that sort of makes sense. Zaqqa would know its way around……
