it would be nice to wear that t-shirt while walking through the villages of Southern Lebanon – the friendly reactions would be overwhelming..
I want this shirt! Where can I purchase this shirt?
Heimo – I dare you. Come on, $100. Do it!
Heather – Check out the Arabesque gift shop on our side bar. You can purchase it there!
Esra’a – I really liked to do it, but I fear the climate there is not good for my pale complexion – I might get a sunburn!
Or better, a nice tan! You should video tape the experience and we’ll live-blog your every move.
Nice recommendments you got for me! – that video-blog wouldn’t be very long – well I must confess I’m a coward (at least to sun rays)
Your right. Lots of people see Hizbollah as heroes. They do provide social services. But they have occupied parts of Lebanon like the Israelis have occupied Palestine. They too are ruthless when they are defied. They brought fire down on Lebanon. I designed the shirt. I am from Marayoun in Southern Lebanon. I can’t even get there without sneaking through Hizbollah checkpoints. Not everyone there in happy to have Iranian politics emposed on us.
Very brave of you, Mark! Great job on the design too.
This shows the beauty of Arabic caligraphy, but I am opposed to provocations, taunting, what does it really do FOR us, in the long run? DOes it relieve any stress or create more with a few others. Of course youth will have their day, but please, if you play in the streets you will eventually have a close or worse encounter with traffic (traffic meaning professionals who are more skilled in political streetfighting than you are).

What is great about this T-shirt?
NOTHING
What makes the person doing it brave?
NOTHING… We cant call a person who design a T-shirt brave NO we call him a designer.
Do u know who is brave?
The person who is fighting for peace fighting for humanity
The person who is fighting to find food for his children fighting to survive in this dark world. The person who thinks that all humans are equal.
Designing a T-shirt against any religion or society or 7ezb is a work of a person who wants to destroy the peace. A person whose heart is dead whose do free to design these kinds of T-shirts…
Spend yr time in something good and stop yr evil work…
قل ماشئت في مسبتي فسكوتي عن اللئيم جواب ؛ لست عديم الجواب ولكن ما من أسد يجيب على الكلاب
Considering that Hezbollah brands itself as a political party, it is not considered a sanctimonious entity and is therefore a fair game for criticism.
i don’t see any thing great about this t-shirt ..
and i don’t see why some peaple dont use there free time to do usefull things..like helping peaple that need help.. or evin spending there time helpung there self’s…
i hope that all the peaple understand that time is very important ..and it needs to be spend in importend stuff…not in thing that could distroy peace between humanes.
“GO in peace”
Hi every one,
For all of you who hear rumours of hezbollah but have no knowledge of hezbollah, well you might as well believe from the bimbo who created this t-shirt that pigs can fly. In Sothern lebanon, a group (Hezbollah) was created due to insecurity and continuous attacks by the israelies on the southern border. The group till today vowed that they will not attack but defend their own country. In today’s society, we all believe that one should be able to walk down the streets feeling secured and feel that he/she will make it to their destination and return home without harm. In the early 90s, this was not the case! Continous shootings, bombings, etc.. was pressured onto the southern regions of lebanon by the Israeli Army. So why can’t the Army of Lebanon defend its country???? Well, because the polititians over there pocket money for themselves instead of building and improving the society. They are all a bunch of animals trying to eat each others bank accounts (which is why I wish the Israelies can bomb them and not the citizens). The lebanese army have nothing at all which is once again the reason why the southern region of lebanon have had enough of the politicians and in turn needed something to stand up to the mass destruction caused by enemy territory. Lebanon was once a beautiful country until Israel was formed. At first israel was probably the smallest country and now if you look at it, its 9 times larger than its original land size. Ask yourselves why?? How did Israel become nitorious in the middle east?? Because Palestine was also a long time ago one gorgeous country picture it like greece until israel pushed the borders further out demanding more land. They don’t want any palestinians living in their area so in order to remove these people they killed/tortured them. So who do i blame? Well definately not the citizens of israel. I have met numerous Israelie people who do not support the Govt’s movement and continuous killings on the palestinians and lebanese. I blame the greediness of Isreal’s President and so-called “DEFENCE FORCE” which they should retitle their position as “OFFENCE FORCE”.
So why do the media publish things about Hezbollah as a terrorist organisation etc?? well my dear friends, for those that do not want harmony but instead more power they need to eradicate those walls standing in their way. The best way to do that is through media. Media is the source which plagues the minds of millions of people to believe that such a country has the right to go attack another.
In conclusion, I would like to further state that instead of allowing media fuel our minds with hate, learn to live life with respect, love and compassion. Jesus taught everyone this and who else except the Jews tortured the beloving Jesus Christ. Why didn’t the muslims torture Jesus Christ?? Because they loved him and his teachings.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Regards,
Make World Peace.
Sandy,
Why would a militant group claiming that they are defending a country invoke a war? Is that defending a country or a noble cause? is that protecting its people? It is obvious that all people would not side with them, some might, but not all. The T-shirt reflects that unlike what we hear, not every one in South Lebanon is willing to let a group of extremists take the affairs into their hands and make that little beautiful south their barracks. A country needs its army, and it is a noble cause to uphold the army, which is more trying to prevent war instead of making creating war. In little regions of high population, invoking is like setting fire to a ballel of gun-powder, what is lost is the cuase in the smokes of the tragic aftermath, no noble supporter of a country would wish for that. Viva Lebanon, Viva Middle East, Viva Peace, G-d bless the souls of those who lost their lives in the war. The innocent souls of the stampeded non-violent people may ask G-d to help us all resolve our problems without war, without people being killed, every where, Amen.
Hi Sandy,
there is something totally in your history knowledge. – Recently I met an Armenian who told me that they’ve been Christian since about 3000 years – I told him: “Well it’s year 2008 & that’s exactly the time since Christianity exists. – Now you tell something about how Muslims didn’t torture Jesus Christ & loved him and his teachings. A statemenet very absurd to my eyes, because there were no Muslims at all around when Jesus lived & died. Muhammed started or invented his religion about 700 years after Jesus Christ. – in that time there’s been a lot of Christian & Jewish communities all over the mideast – in fact most of them got soon wiped out by an very violent spreading of the Islamic religion & Christendom is still not very much toleräted in a lot of islamic countries – see the recent persecution of Christans in countries like Lebanon, Gaza, Egypt etc. – My own cousin “Tilman Geske” got murdered last year by fanatic muslims in Turkey just because he was Christian & lived there. – Well I don’t generalize – if I say ‘fanatic Muslims’ I don’t mean Muslims in general, just like there were a lot of fanatic Christians, like the Crusaders & Which burners around in last centuries, which were just as stupid as these fanatic Muslims – (Fanatics are Fanatics in any religion & are in general stupid & ignorant)
Another fact is, that it were the Romans (now Italians) who tortured & killed Jesus Christ – Jesus was a Jew himself & also all his first followers. It was one of the crucial sources of antisemitism & Jewhate since centuries to blame them for the killing of Christ, which later led to the holocaust here in Germany where about 6 Million Jews got murdered in concentration camps. – How can someone still be so ignorant to still argue with such a stupid superstitious hate accusation?
& to Hizbullah – I don’t believe that they are just defending their country – I’ prefer to have that role on the legal Lebanese army. – In fact they are fanatic God warriors whith the goal to wipe out Israel with the support of Iran. When in the recent Lebanon war Israel attacked Lebanon, it was, because Hizbullah attacked before Israel, went over the border, killed some Israeli solders, hijacked 2 soldiers, which never returned alive. – Well Israel has no intent to attack Lebanon, if it doesn’t get attacked from there before..
should be:
there is something totally wrong in your history knowledge
Before I say anything I would like to state that you guys are responding nicely to my comment. So thankyou.
As I have stated in the first comment, the army is in no position to defend its country due to the lack of funds from the “so called” govt support. The gov’t doesnt care about its people, they dont care about the quality of life, but what they do care is their personal wealth being.
If the debacle is about who started what, obviously both sides of the story are not going to win because (a) media sparked sources have allowed you to believe one manipulated side of the story (b) never listen to one side of the story, take a look at the other side. A judge when he needs to draw his conclusion, he needs to listen to both sides of the story.
What had occured at the time when the Hezbollah group supposedly jumped over the line and kidnapped 2 soldiers and killed others did not infact situate in that manner. In fact, why would they do that to get their homeland into a state of war when they have nothing??? Cmon guys no-one is that stupid. Hezbollah are not dumb my dear friends. Nor do they believe in the goal of killing innocent people.
If I was on your side of the town and I had read in the daily papers that Hezbollah went over to israel and killed so n so.. I’d be just like you. However, if you read the arabic news, the Israeli Defence Force went over the border to ignite a retaliation. Hezbollah in their own mind don’t want any war or any further killings. They want security.
Think about it.. Why would a smart, intelligent leader such as that of Hezbollah, pursue such an act? I’d call him an idiot.. Trust me they arent dumb to do that.
It was the decision of the Roman king who tortured and killed Jesus Christ, but it was the Zionist who ordered and sparked the call. To live and be born into a country but not believe in their religion does that mean you are of them? Jesus was brought into the world to correct the status of the religion at that time.
The commandments sent down from G-d to Moses (“You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make idols or bow down to them, nor serve them. You shall not use the name of the Lord your God disrespectfully. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Honor your father and your mother. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not lie about your neighbor. You shall not lust for your neighbor’s house, or his wife, or any thing that is your neighbor’s.”) were not correctly being followed by the Zionist nor the majority of the people and in return G-d brought down Jesus to ensure that the commandments were obeyed and understood with the correct meaning of what G-d himself required from his creations.
Was it not the Jews that retaliated at Jesus for the despense of money ideology and the implentation of equality??? There should be no rich and no poor nor should there be a king or slave??? We were all born human am I right??
Now to say that Mohamad wasnt there at the time of Jesus I agree with you, even to the point where you stated that Mohamad was who they believe in. But he wasn’t the beginning of prophecy. Every prophet that was sent down to deliver msgs told everyone that they were a slave of G-d. Abraham, Moses, Amran, Yahwah, all of them were slaves of G-d. Which is funny because when you translate the word muslim it means “slave of G-d”.
Anyways my dear friends, lets not look at sides of religions. Let us all believe that there is a creator who has no need from us but we have a need for him. If your Christian, you are my friend, Jewish you are my friend and muslim you are my friend.
So lets look at the fundamental issues in life such as “War”, “Hate” and what fuels it. Having this t-shirt isn’t a nice thing to publish. We are all grown ups and we should deal matters such as this in a mature matter.
Hi Sandy, thanks for commenting here.
Personally, I don’t see what’s so immature about this shirt. It came at time where people were treating Hezbollah like a religion. The designer of this shirt is a Lebanese individual who dislikes the influence that Hezbollah has on his country and indeed, the whole region. Just a few days ago here in Bahrain people were violently protesting on behalf of Hezbollah by burning car tires, destroying public property and carrying pictures of Nasrallah, to me that is what’s immature, instead of a shirt that expresses a strong political opinion. Disrespecting Hezbollah is not immature, but Hezbollah itself and many of their supporters are rather disrespectful with their violent chantings and form of protest. Do you realize how many people were beaten and harassed for publishing satire about Nasrallah or generally showing disrespect (even if it’s in a mature, intellectual fashion?) It’s really frightening, like a “tyranny of the majority” form of dictatorship.
If it was offensive then I am sorry, but I am not a supporter of Hezbollah despite my strong opposition to Israel and its unethical “military” [IDF]. I think it’s a disturbing organization with disturbing supporters, the IRI (which is by far one of the most unjust governments in the world.) One day we will have a strong Arab organization that puts an end to all the injustice that we face, Hezbollah, certainly, is not that organization. It just contributes actively to the chaos.
Hi Sandy,
about the cause of the recent war between Israel & Lebanon or Hezbollah we apparently have a different view & I guess it would be hard or impossible to find an agreement – so I just leave it to our different oppinions – but another small remark to your:
Hmm – well if maybe some few Jews in that time in by Romans occupied Israel accused Christ, while a lot of other Jews lived their normal lives without relation to that case, it’s absurd to say in general “the Jews did it” – why not say. “the Romans & the Jews did it” – I never heard Italians getting accused for killing Christ. – I am German, but I’m not a Nazi. Some simple minded people in other countries still believe that since the Hitler-III Reich, all Germans are Nazis. I deeply hate Nazis. to be German doesn’t mean to be a Nazi & all the evil that happened in Nazi-Germany was only 60 years ago. – To blame the killing of Jesus on the Jews after about 2000 years is absurd. – Everybody should be blamed & accused only for his own deeds, not for something, some people of their nation had done long time ago. – If my father was a muerderer, & I would probably really despise it, & it wouldn’t mean, that I’m a muerderer. -
Here in Europe there were a lot of bad sayings & proverbs & strange myths against Jews, that led to periodical pogroms against Jews in about all European countries with the climax of systematically trying to extinguish all the Jewis race here in the Germany’s holocaust. – Meanwhile a lot of people are very aware of the roots which led to all these pogroms & genozide. . Nobody than an stubborn extremist would use such terms anymore, as blaming Jews as the muerderers of Christ. (Last time I heard it was by a Portuguesian catholic woman apparently drunk). But it astounds me, that I hear such bad sayings & proverbs & evil caricatures regularly in the Arabic & Islamic world, antisemite hate propagations like The Protocols of the Elders of Zion were even cast in tv in Iran, Lebanon? & Egypt etc. – There’s hate to Israel & the Zionists of course, but it’s often mingled with resentments againt Jews in general. So the language use about Zionists & Jews has open boarders. – Just like that really antizionist Jewish Rabbi recently muerdered in Mumbai, just like all those Jews in Arabic countries who got dispelled, not because the were Zionists, but because they were Jews.- My Iranian friend told me that Jews are highly tolerated inside Iran & got equal rights – but another time I heard his remark “fucking Americans, fucking Jews” , while we watched the news together. – Another time he told me a little parable about the Prophet Muhammed, who got attacked & thrown with dirt while he walked his daily route, & insulted by an Jew each day & in the last part of the parable, he was very generous & forgiving against that Jew. – I thought: “good guy – bad guy” – of course the Jew was the bad guy. -
Hm – here in Europe we (well not all) meanwhile got a sharp sense to recognize those evil roots of bad sayings against Jews, but apparently in the Arabic countries those sayings are still quite acceptable & about nobody about using them.
Another remark on language use – you use the term “..it was the Zionist who ordered and sparked..”
Those people in the time of Jesus Christ were not Zionists. “Zionist” is a term used for Jews, that returned to their former home country since about 1900, -When the Romans occupied Israel in that time they called it Judah & later on Palestine, after they expelled most of the Jews after a revolt in the year 132 CE.
I recommend awareness, that Jews in general shouldn’t be generalizingly called Zionists. – Well maybe Mose was a Zionist, because he wanted to lead his people home.
your:
Here I agree with you
Hi guys,
Once again, I thank you all for being kind in this matter and Heimo I do agree with you and I am sorry for saying I blame one or two societies in the case of Jesus, where it is a particular minority. So deep apologies there…
Esra’a do you blame Hezbollah for blowing up cars or running a muck or those that are participating in such an event like wild animals??
Everyone has an opinion, its the way that you publish your opinion that may put you in the spectrum of light or in darkness. The point I’m trying to say is if you want start saying oh kiss my ass you militants then you might as well get some other guy from the other side of the world to say kiss my ass to the poor palestinians who are being tortured and killed day by day. Several news reporters from UK and other countries were being fired at by the IDF for video recording an attack on the Palestinians….. I think its bottling up these notions that make people in the society angry about a whole society. Why can’t everyone protest on this???????
We need world peace, we need both countries (Palestine “with their rocks” and Israel “with their Guns, Missiles and Aircrafts” and alias Hizbollah with their “Guns and Missiles”) to be disengaged and used only for war. Not to just run in and kill innocent people and feel free to walk out and do it day by day like as if its some sort of ritual routine.
Now when you look at some of the news feeds of IDF tanks fogging up Palestinian residents with poisonous gas and them not being able to defend themselves obviously neighborhood countries are going to be angry and upset.
And Heimo, I also agree with you, muslims also have a bad record today. In lebanon you see a particular region called Trablus being fired at by Sunni Extremists. Its sad and I hate how they are called muslims. It really does piss me off. Its like seeing a rabbi telling his group to kill another group of jews however in the end the outside world will give Rabbis a bad name just from the cause of one or two….
Also things that have built hate such as the terrorist attacks in the US. Do you honestly believe in that 9-11 crap. It’s a complete joke. Why wasn’t the black box revealed?? Why didn’t the Jet fighters attack? why didn’t the anti-aircraft missiles at Pentagon fire??? There’s alot of things that I can start questioning its either you look at reality or you fall into the illusion that the digital world has to offer.
As for Peace, even though it will never happen the most one can do is spread the word… and hope that someday or somehow that it comes.
Hi Sandy,
Very inaccurate comparison. Palestinians are not a corrupt organization being funded by a corrupt government, nor is their mission embedded in violence. Palestinians for the most part are victims of a brutal war, Hezbollah fuel further war and hatred.
And, yes, Hezbollah are the ones who CALLED for the protest to take place in the first place, knowing fully well what it would result in. None of the Palestinians I know support Hezbollah and I know at least one person who would like them to “kiss his ass,” for good reason.
Well I hate to break it to you but approximately every palestinian here in Australia support the Group for standing up for there country regardless to the fact that they are Sheites.
Would you like to know what a corrupt govt is?? Lebanon.
Good on Iran for expanding their knowledge and creation of technology and aviation. About time a country in the middle east pioneer in such operations. I don’t see much from big money countries like Qatar creating those of which the iranian govt have in acquisition. For all I know, money is all that matters to them.
Yes I am Australian Lebanese, and if there is one thing that I liked about Lebanon… is what it once was before the tyrany. Now its a crap country with a bunch of money hungry politicians running an animal show. As for Hezbollah, they aren’t fueling anything because if they were, then they’ll be sending all the missiles they have right at the neighbours door.
Unlike others, one thing Hezbollah don’t do is run over peoples houses with their tanks or shoot people for the fun of it or poison them and so so..
Name one bad thing that Hezbollah had actioned in its power that is negative (“and dont give me they took 2 IDF troopers because that was a reaction of a breach from the IDF for crossing over the Lebanese border, or the fact that they are a particular sector of a religion.”)
Wake up to yourselves. I dare any one of you to go to Palestine and live just 2 days there and let the people tell you what Israel has done to them. How their sons were kidnapped and taken away. Mothers that have lost their husbands, children with an arm lost etc… This is inhumanity!! Nothing can justify this?????
But what if these weapons and heavy artillary were never created or they weren’t in the possession of Israel. Do you think Hezbollah would exist???
I believe they wouldn’t.
