  1. That shirt is just asking for trouble!

  2. Esra’a,
I wonder how the Islamic Republic media will react to this…

  3. I hope it won’t be by drawing another Anne Frank cartoon.

  4. Arash..

Hell it is an improvement…note that it is not a mushroom cloud. Back in the days of the the hostages…the bumper sticker going around was “Nuke Iran”…

    You see…we are making progress.

  5. Yeah, I’ve seen many footages of people walking around the streets with signs that read “Deport all Iranians!”

  6. Esra’a

    “Deport all Iranians!”

I hope not..the VP of my company is Iranian. But I am for deporting all Canadians.

  7. Arash-

By-the-way…this time around in NOTHING like during the hostage period. All kidding aside…most folks in the US, at this stage, are more of in a mode of “what are these guys really up to”. There is not a bunch of rah rah let’s get ‘em…I see none of it…but there is a sense of “do we get them before they get us?” kind of debate. But all the paranoid, anger gung ho stuff…nope…In fact, I bet your contacts with your Iranian friends here would pretty much support that.

The issue is there…but at this point is not a huge preoccupation.

  8. I hope you watch the movie “Maryam,” it revolves around an Iranian-American family in the U.S during that time period. It was a horrible experience and they had to suffer from a lot of racist and hatred behavior, as well as a lot of violence. But in the end it gave a powerful message, which is neither anti-American nor anti-Iranian, but simply that people are people no matter what their race is and friendship shouldn’t be judged by your historical and cultural background.

I think you might like it.

  9. Esra’a
I should see the movie. Nest time I go to Blockbuster I will check for that. Thanks. :)

  10. Howie,

The issue is there…but at this point is not a huge preoccupation.

I see, but still, I am seeing a mushroom cloud on the T-shirt.

  11. Yeah it looks like a poorly drawn mushroom cloud.

It would be funny if they just drew a mushroom. Then it could mean “I eat Iran” or something. :)

  12. Esra’a
Yeah, you are right. They could have also added some zucchini and peas… :D

  13. Hhahahaa. Actually! Maybe we should do that, just to make fun of this shirt.

  14. Esra’a
Can you do that? I will share it in the Iranian blogsphere. Please…

  15. Yes of course! I just told Sankar… we got the images ready mwahaha. This will be great.

  16. Esra’a
Can you “mwahaha” Ahmadinejad right to Mars? Or even better to the Hell?

  17. Esra’a
    Seriously, did you do that?

  18. Esra’a
Please let me know if you really created that picture.

  19. I’ll make a new post once it’s ready :D

  20. Esra’a
    I am waiting! ;)

  21. Do you think people will understand it? I hope so! When we post it we have to post it next to that shirt.

  22. [...] We’re doing this to mock the Casual Conservative “I bomb Iran” shirts. If you mess with Iran, we mess with your shirts! Actually, this was inspired by a discussion here where Arash and I figured that we may as well turn the mushroom cloud into an eatable mushroom. [...]
