I’ve written a post on my blog responding to the often posed question: “Are Hamas and Hizballah terrorist organizations?” It touches on the various understandings of terrorism, argues that there is no such thing as terrorism, and presents a possible theory for what people are doing when they refer to terrorism. Finally, it offers a modest proposal regarding how Hamas and Hizballah should be dealt with in order to get past the current impasse imposed by the American and Israeli governments in the region.
