The 2007 "Let's Get Free" Mideast Pageant
Ok guys Monday will be the night when we decide who is the most beautifully rad middle eastern woman that wants freedoms besides the right to wear make up. I will consider any suggestions till Monday.
Here are my nominations:

Leila Khaled definitely if going by beauty. If by impact and poise, then Nawwal.
Leila was hot and she got a gun. Can’t beat that.
She also has the best style.
I think she needs a cigar, though.
And I think Amira Hass would look better in a cowboy hat.

In this case for me, I vote Mai Al Khalifa, whom Mernissi admires greatly. Mai makes Bahrain proud (except for the Islamist loons, that is.)
I still really like Nawal for the “God is justice” line.
Oh and I totally forgot my mother countries, but for some reason I can only think of writers with like no presence online.
