We are young digital natives reaching out across seemingly impenetrable national, social, political, ethnic, and sectarian barriers, employing the freedom created by media platforms to demand and create our own civil discourse.

We have just launched Media Students

May 6th, 2007Esra'a (Bahrain)

Like I wrote last night on our Free Kareem website, we are very proud to announce our latest project – Media Students.

This is a website where we give free tutorials (in English and Arabic) about how to start a campaign, how to market a campaign, how to start a podcast, how to avoid censorship, how to unblock certain websites, etc.

Our first lesson is here, and the Arabic version is here.

Our 2nd lesson on how to publicize a campaign can be found here.

You can also access this site through FreeBloggers.net which we are using to redirect to Media Students (we mainly have this domain in case of an emergency campaign.) Huma Imtiaz, a Pakistani journalist and blogger, is also writing with us, and we hope to include more people in the future. Amira will be doing some final touches to the layout, which will make the site look cooler.

Another project that we have launched recently is Free Activist!

PS – Remember, Sexual Terrorism is looking for an editor if you’re interested in taking on the job.
