M Freeman; well spotted. I shouldn't think you'd have problems changing 50 GBP in Tehran, but you'd need to go to a bank (if you miss the opportunity in the airport) and I don't fancy your chances of getting served fast in an Iranian bank. Better to have USD if you are free floating around maybe. Do be careful though that you get the correct money - 50 GBP is around 100,000 Tomans (1,000,000 rials as of 02/08). Again, try sort it in your own country before hand if you can. Good luck!

Will be taking cash in £50 notes.

Thanks for that if I've missed this I apologies.
