Representitives of Our Religion… A Tragedy
For a while now I’ve been watching a lot of anti-Islam activities going on and was always against it. I’ve supported all the non-violent protests I’ve seen by muslims worldwide. However, now I think I see why we are such an easy target… It seems that although there are many non-violent protests, there are also many that promote it in the name of Islam.

The purpose of the site I’ve given proves whether rumors, legends, stories…etc. are true or not. I just happen to come across this section and I regretfully say that I wasn’t very surprised when I read the status of this story to be True.
These photos are of protests that responded to the drawings made of our prophet (p.b.u.h.) and they all promote violence, a mistake they’re commiting as muslims. Everyone will agree that there are right ways to do things and there are wrong ways. What these guys are doing is pushing the boundries well beyond wrong and even more beyond extreme.
I am a strong believer in my religion as I’m sure many of you are, but it’s people like that who really make you just want to break something. What happened to the part where Islam is a peaceful religion??? Where are the kind-hearted muslims??? I now see how few there are. So far the only people I feel I can relate to are the ones on this site. I am very thankful to be a part of this site and I hope it grows beyond imagination… I just wish our struggle would have the support of more proper muslims around the world and not these fools who live by only the title of Muslim. It shames me to call people like that representors of our religion.
We should like gather up ideas and write a book or something to show just how wrong the world views Islam and show them that what terrorists or even protestors like the ones in that site actually are against what Islam is all about.

Yeah, we should definitely keep writing, talking, doing anything in our power to prove ourselves and our religion. While these violent Muslims don’t speak for us – they are still the ones doing most of the talking (and thus most of the damage to our religion.)
What can I say, I’m a mind reader… (evil laughter)
As soon as I saw those pictures, I really felt like I lost all hope to fix the attitude towards Islam. It is because of people like that that makes Islam such an easy target I understand their commitment and devotion towards Islam, but like I said, there are right ways to do it and wrong ways… Idiots!

It does feel like running in circles.. doesn’t it?
We have a lot of emotional Muslims out there who act without actually thinking. I guess that is why we are called hot blooded Arabs.
In these sensitive times we should be more careful in portraying ourselves in front of others. When I saw the pictures, it scared the hell out of me.. If I was a non-muslim looking at them I would want each of them arrested for promoting terrorism and violence. Islam is not like that. I am not like that and I am sure alot of you are not either, I hate it when I am perceived as a terrorist because of a bunch of stupid people.
I think the book idea is a great one..
We wrote several posts here about this… maybe we should compile it in a newsletter/booklit and start encouraging other minds to speak up about this? What do you guys think?
I do think that it should have articles by Muslims of different countries promoting peace.
“The Lords Prayer!â€
Within its contents lies the Solution to the entire Worlds’ Problems. It is such “Good News†and it is soooo seldom that we hear “Good News.â€
In all its simplicity “The Lord’s Prayer†or “Our Father Prayer,†answers “three†of the most catastrophic problems facing humans today. Jesus provided the Solution to all the World’s problems (in just three sentences.) Problems such as; Will there ever be “World Peace?†Will the earth be destroyed by “Weapons of Mass Destruction†or possibly an “Asteroid from Outer Space?†Or will there ever be a time when “Sickness, Sorrow and Death†is done away with?
We pray in modern English, “Let your Kingdom come.†God’s Kingdom is a Spiritual Government, I am sure that you are familiar with the terms “Prince of Peace and King of kings,†referring to Jesus Christ It is Jesus’ Spiritual Government that is going to bring permanent Peace to the Earth.
Then we continue; “Let your Kingdom come and let your will be done on earth.†In order for God’s will to be done on earth the earth has to remain and there will have to be people on earth to do God’s will. So we don’t have to worry about the earth being destroyed! But you may be wondering now will we always have to live with the tragedy of “Sickness, Sorrow and Death?†Jesus said NO!
“God’s will will be done on earth as it is in heaven†heaven is perfect! So in essence we are asking God to please rule this earth in Perfection as He once did in the Garden of Eden.
Wouldn’t you agree that this is “Good News?†That is why Jesus stated at Matthew 24:14, “And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.â€

I definitely think you should consider this book idea Esra’a. You could make like a book entitled MidEast Youth and inside it are different sections written by different people from this site, like their blogs or if they want to write something specific for this book. The aim of the book will not just be Islam Education, but also focusing on things Islam is against ESPECIALLY terrorism and promoting violence, things that the world attach to Islam.

If this idea does happen I would vote for making it an actual hardback book and be able to sell it properly, not just a mini-book or something. We’ll want something that’ll really grab peoples’ attention and shock them when they find out the writers are all young men and women in the middle east and not some stuck up snob thinking he’s right no matter what.
Excellent idea. I think we can easily find a publisher for this. You know, we have thousands of posts, so we can really compile an actual, well written book.
I just read an article buy Christopher Hitchens “Londonistan calling” exactly about the demonstrations and how Britian has become a breeding ground for the “British Jihadist”. I agree with all of you, when did Islam become so twisted and ugly?
These people are easily brainwashed into thinking that they are waging a holy war?!? the problem is within us, sadly, we say lets write a book and say how peaceful we are. Show the West? No, I don’t care what the west thinks. It is we, who must change how we, perceive ourselves, then and only then we can better our image.
We should write the book for all the arabs, all the muslims and say Enough is Enough. Something is deadly wrong in our society, that our children are easily targeted and brainwashed.
We are angry about the foreign policies of various governments, what do we do? constructive or destructive?
As arabs we go most often times the destructive path.
I blame all those people who grow the beard and in the name of religion preach violence. I blame the mothers and fathers that have reared children with empty minds. I blame our goverments for not taking better care of their people.
I blame the education system in the middle east that does not teach us to think.
I am a Muslim..I was brought up in Britian and that Marylin, with her Lord prayer, was something that was said every morning in our school after singing Hymns. I took Bible classes before I read the Quran. I sang at church in Christmas and my Mother with her hijab was sitting in the front row. I grew up and I actively read the quran and sought my own answers. I am a muslim and I respect all the people of the Book (ahl al kitab). Therefore the words that are spouted of violence from the quran are taken out of context. Our people need history lessons and need to progress!

A question if a woman blows herself, will she be a martyr? and will she get 72 Virgins? Now the main question will they be male or female?!?!? LOL!

Musliims are not unkind. It is just the Western media propaganda that makes it seem so. For instance in the movie “Gandhi”, the Mahatma is shown making nonviolent protests at the same time as Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, is shown blowing up trains full of innocent people. It seems unfair to show it just because that is what actually happened.
THere are many political cartoons, newspaper columnists and and television programs that insult or make fun of Muslims. Those Danish cartoons were not any worse than what already exists in the media. It puzzles me that more fuss was made over those cartoons than any other material offensive to MUslims. I was suprised when there violent protests in a secular country like Syria. I believe agent provocateurs were involved in the fomenting of some of the demonstrations.
You would think the Muslims would be angry over the millions of deaths the United States and its allies are responsible for in their military and political interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Palestine.
