FYI, my brother studies in Amir Kabir university, and I know whats going on over there, but it seems you cannot see my point of view!
If we continue what we are doing (not opposing) they'll have the courage to do worse to all of us!

zigourat:
I am glad you view the US as SUCH a great role model, that you choose to blame Islamic Repubic brutality on the US
!!!!!!!!!!
I truley am. The US IS indeed a leading country intoday's world and of course responsible for its little brother and sister countries actions... obviously the US should THINK a little before doing stuff in front of the kids

Pouyan, students are already victims. Last month protesters at Amir Kabir University were stabbed by Basijis and many active students of AKU have been beaten up upon their arrest.

Rasha:
What I mean is: first they started with women (they even beat them, watch the videos on youtube.com) then with boys, after that vile men, then junkies, this is going on and on! next victims would be us "Students" they are showing their power, if we approve what they're doing we cannot protest if they do the same to us!
Esther:

I have personally witnessed many occasions of police un-brutality in Iran.

you wouldn't believe if I say I even had fun with some of these guys; I crashed my car, and I was just SAD! he came to see the car, then he saw me sad, not talking, he made some jokes, then he made fun of whole crash, we laughed together! he was very cool, there are a lot like him.
but mostly police intentionally chooses its forces from "cruel and stupid" kinda people.

I hate to write this here because I really disapprove of police brutality, but I have personally witnessed many occasions of police un-brutality in Iran. Once I saw a man go absolutely bat-shit because he was late for a bus. He broke windows, attacked the ticket takers, and was generally physically scary. The police gently led him away. They didn't even handcuff him. I could not help but think that he would have been shot if he had exhibited similar behavior in America.

In general, the normal police in Iran seem to be less authoritarian and less prone to brutality than one would expect. But... there are always exceptions. It is also important to understand that there are many different enforcement arms in Iran, and they are all in competition.

hello,
i don't know why they use so much violence to arrest people.
But in the other hand i think Bush administration is a kind of responsible of all of that :
when they put people in jail like in Guantanamo (lastly one of the prisoner make a suicide) without trial and when they use torture in irak, in country like iran its government use the same attitude against "arazel va obash".

I understand what you mean, I do seem too harsh but if we keep on justifying steeling for instance then that will open a wider door for all to steel. Got my point?
I do blame the governments too for not providing jobs for educated and graduated men and women as you mentioned. Believe me, we do have the same problem here, unemployment has risen drastically in the last few years in Saudi Arabia, and so has the poor.

I can not put my self in this man's shoes because I have been privilaged, I have never felt how the poor might feel. But I have been deprived of other important matters such as my identity and freedom as a woman.
I try to stand by virtue and ethics, I don't know what a person feels when he/she is pushed to the limits, now that is survival struggle.

Rasha what would you do if you had only one option? "Farhad Mehrdad" (Poet, composer and singer) once said:
If you have "one option" you have to take it! A lot of people here (graduated) don't have a job, so what would a poor ungreduated guy do? you have to -at least- have a Bs in order to take even lowest jobs!
Rasha I'm kinda sure that you can see what my point is. Just try to see things from a different point of view and you'll realize.

It’s not his fault, I must say that he had the intentions but it’s mostly because of corruption of the government

I disagree with you, what do you mean it is not his fault? ofcourse it is! he made a choice, no body heald a gun to his head to do what he does. (if they did, that is another story)
We have to stop giving others credit for choices we made how ever bad they may be.
Once you and I stop blaiming others for what ever wrong choices we did in our life and take responsibility.. only then can we progress my dear Pouyan.
