Introducing PeacefulVanguard

June 19th, 2007Matthew (USA)

Hellooo! Many of you already know me, PeacefulVanguard, from some of my discussions in the comments section. I’ve subsequently been invited to become one of the authors here at MEY, and I am glad to be here.

My intention as an author on this site is to discuss issues and methods that can build bridges between Middle Eastern communities.

I am an American Jew (or Jewish American however you look at it) from Los Angeles, which is a world class, multicultural city with large populations of Middle, and Near Easterners. L.A. has the largest communities of Iranians, Armenians, and Israelis in the world outside their homelands. We also have a large population of Arabs, a sizeable Coptic community, and a growing population of Kurds. And … for the most part, everyone gets along. Many of these people are my friends. Hopefully, we can turn our intergroup goodwill into something more infectious.

I look forward to being here and getting to know you all!
