Let me tell something about my self..
I am an Assyrian, maybe the first one in this website! I live in the United States, and I am here to represent my people and their situation in the Middle East.

Great Andre, it’s very nice to see you here! Maybe in your next post it would be good to share what it means to be Assyrian… and what their current situation is in the Middle East.

Andre, excuse my ignorance, but Assyrians aren’t to be confused with Syrians right? They’re people who consider themselves to be descendants of the ancient Assyrian people and are not Arabs. Did I get it right?
I think you are right Drima, they don’t associate themselves with any other Middle Eastern group. In fact Andre contacted me to note that Assyrians should be added in our description list so that more of them are represented in the region, or encouraged to participate in the media at least.
I wish he can tell us more, or in what way they are oppressed.

Yup Drima, you got that right, we are considered the direct decedents of the ancient Assyrians and we are not Arabs.
