A Really Interesting Opportunity for Young Film-Makers in the Gulf!!
Aljazeera Channel is organising a documentary film-making workshop for emerging and promising film-makers in the gulf. The workshop will take place at Aljazeera’s Media Training and Development Centre in Doha-Qatar between October 21 and November 15,2007.
The following is the link to the programme, if you happen to be a fim-maker from the gulf and would like to develop your skills and enhance your work, this is your chance, don’t miss it!!, we certainly do need young film-makers from the gulf region!.

Also, if you have friends that are interested in such things, don’t forget to tell them!.
I wish I could apply myself, but unfortunately applicants must have gulfi citizenship!, if they could change it to born in the gulf other than being from the gulf then I would be eligible.!

Great news!!! I hope to see this succeed. Unfortunately I don’t know many aspiring film makers in the Gulf… many would be interested in this field had there been an actual film school or productive and well-financed film club. Many want to but don’t try thinking films in the Gulf are doomed to failure. Perhaps this initiative will eliminate that assumption.
Actually, the best audio-visual school has a branch in Dubai and Amman, the school is Called SAE! But the problem is that not much know about it, and it’s kind of expensive, but it Gives Diplomas, Bachelors, and PhDs in Video or Audio engineering!!
WOW, that actually sounded like an advertisement!! Anyway, this thing is really nice, Aljazeerah actually has a few online tutorials about film-making BASICS!
This will really help the Arab world to produce better programs / films!
