My six year old and I produced an Ad on Global Warming
My son is only six and he is already worried about Global Warming. Yikes! So we did something, producing an ad promoting hybrid environmentally correct cars. Here’s the link: http://www.current.tv/watch/109603112
It has to be today’s world of communications networking. Even little kids are into the computers, and the high-level information that is the basis of our technology world. So he wanted to do something to “save the world.” We recycle now all the time. And last night, he and I produced an Advertisement to promote hybrid cars that reduce gasoline consumption (sorry my countrymen in the Arab world
) and that offers a catchy message for consumers, urging them to buy the Toyota Prius, the gas-saving, environmentally correct hybrid car.
Check it out and if you like it, give it a Green Light

And, enjoy it?

Toyota should basically hire you.
Ha ha
Where do you publish most of your videos Ray? I love them all. Is there a place where we can basically have an archive of all the videos you did?
Hi Ray! I noticed you talked about a Toyota Prius VCAM you made with your son. Have you heard about the :60 Seconds to Save the Earth contest that Current is having? We’re looking for people to create 15, 30, or 60 second ecospots that inspire people to take action against climate change. You can find the details here: http://www.current.tv/ecospot . It sounds like it would be something you and your son would enjoy–and you could win some great prizes!
Thanks Steph … I’ll check it out …
Hi Esra’a … I actually archive all my video programs at http://www.ArabAmericanTVOnline.com … I have about 100 online video interviews that focus mainly on Arab American heritage (interviews, features, news reports on events, and even cooking — I made tabooli and grapeleaves in two episodes).
The shows are broadcast in Chicago on Comcast Cable TV. And, as a matter of fact, Comcast called to tell me they are expanding my show from 45 suburban communities to 148 covering almost half of the suburban communities outside of Chicago (which is huge) … so now I am producing two shows, one on Chicagoland issues and politics, and another on Arab American heritage.
We don’t have many TV shows on Arab life in America — they basically shut us out, refuse to give us time on the mainstream TV programs — although the Jewish American community has dozens of shows about their culture and religiona nd about Israel (and good for them, I just wish the media was fair to us, too).
I just did one introducing myself to the new audience, 30 minutes of me babbling which should be posted by Wednesday and then it will be broadcast every Friday night through August on COmcast Cable TV Channel 19.
I also just finished an interview with Okab Hassan who is the only Arab American principal in Chicago’s public schools system … (I didn’t like the audio because the school had this old air conditioner running int he background and I did everything I could to clean it up but it didn’t work. Anyway, that interview is also now posted online.)
AND … I do a remote TV Dialogue, Debate and Discussion program called The Rift (www.TheRift.TV) with Israeli journalist Alan Abbey … our first show should be airing withint the week … him in Israeli occupied Jerusalem me in street-gang occupied Chicago (just joking folks … don;’t get your panties in a bunch
) … Alan is in Jerusalem and I am in Chicago. I am going to be doing more remote interviews liek that …
By the way Esra’a … if you have a camera and audio on your computer, let’s do a 15 minute online interview about what youa re doing with MidEastYouth.com …
(Plus, I now publish the Arab American Times Newspaper (www.AATimesNews.com) and I have a nice feature on MidEastYouth.com publsihed in it. The newspaper is distributed through 800 Arab grocery stores in 48 US States, the only real national newspaper in the country … no politics, just focus on Arab American society, events and culture
And, I do have a little more time if anyone has any more ideas for things I should be doing. I love writing, producing videos, doing interviews and most of all writing ont his web page
