Salem; Cries from Israel
Salem is a successful black metal band that is worldwide known to every Heavy Metal fan!
They sometimes create oriental riffs that everyone would understand their hometown is situated in Middle East! Their melodies are really nice!
One thing interesting about their lyrics is that the trace of religion could be found everywhere! They sing some religion and politic related songs! And sometimes they use Psalm as the source of making lyric!
The band has many creative lyrics and I choosed “Coming end of reason”. that’s about War and destruction!
(Download the song here)
Show the world and your masses
blood of the butchered you have slain
Behold, the coming end of reason
Death is a better way of lifeThrow yourself at the mercy
of the dead who seek revenge
When blood is seen in heaven
God knows his creature’s gone insaneFind no shelter from their wrath
Hate will lead you underground
Mark of glory-quite mind
Brain dead leaders, out of lineYou heed to words of the demented
Used as puppets in their play
of lies, hate and destruction
True dark ages abomination
And this one is some Anti-War act, called “Collective Demise”:
In the eyes of death
there is no difference
between me and you
And though you feel hatred
our mortality bounds us, bonds usMy days are fragile
I am at a lost
with the knowledge of our impending endimpending end
The weapons we bear
are the symbols
of our collective demise
Devised by our kindred
as an emphasis to our unknown doom
This song is about Jewish situation in middle east, their suffer of becoming united and everyday fear of terror, that is called “Broken yet united”.

Broken, not united
You see the disguise
Broken, not united
See where we’ve come
with our collective hateWe leave behind
ideals of a dying generation
Slip away
Berated not refinedGod’s gift to mankind
Broken yet revised
See where we’ve come
Broken, not unite
We keep dry
under the rain of terrorBroken, not united
Bread and blood is life
You see through the lies
Broke your nest and found
a peaceful haven
Turn it upside downWe keep dry
under the raining terror
Children die
to fuel the flame of hateBroken yet united
