Human rights violations against migrant workers continue
According to Arab News, a middle-aged Filipino woman was beaten up because she refused to be a maid/slave:
Officials at the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah yesterday said Myrna Salvador was admitted to Dr. Baksh Hospital in the Mina district of the city after suffering a fractured spine and hip. She was brought to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon by her employer’s driver and another worker.
Salvador, a single mother, left her two young children with relatives in the northern Philippine province of Bulacan when she was recruited by Samba Services agency to work at a beauty parlor owned by her employer, Malika Al-Otaibi, in Jeddah for a salary of SR1,500 a month.
This mistreatment is truly disgusting, and let’s remember that most of such cases don’t even make it to the media so we’ve yet to hear the worst of these stories.

There is still no NGO that is active towards this issue, partly due to lack of resources/funds and partly because not many people actually care to help. What a sad reality to deal with, and what’s worse is that our silence/inactivity is putting even more lives at risk.
We should really do something. For months we have been saying this with no one offering their help in putting together an effective campaign to end this or at least increase awareness on what’s happening. There is no way that people are truly aware of this yet allowing it to happen, which is just as bad as actually taking part in what I consider to be a serious crime against humanity. If we make enough people aware of this we can make a difference.

Everybody knows so many human right violations are happing in Saudi Arabia, There is no more actions reporting against them .I believe its not Only from the Saudi people, Because most of the companies are run by other citizens .But the government of Saudi is not vigilant the problem of labors .what they are they doing, if one case in front of labor court, it is taking more than 3 month to finish. What is happing, after 3 month the labor is getting nothing, it will compromised and the company will escape from punishment. Have you ever hear a company get punishment from Saudi labor court. Why the companies are not coming infornt of labor court, they don’t care the labor court of Saudi . Why the government is not taking strong action against sponsors??. In my case, I am an Indian ,last 3years I am working here in Saudi as biomedical technician in one MOH hospital under the sponsorship of AL-EWAN Medical Company, its run by Bengali citizen. Last three years I didn’t get any vacation ,they are holding my original certificate , passport , work permit .so now I field case in labor court , but company is not coming . What I will do???. Now two month finished and I don’t have job because my clearance finished from the hospital and they took my work permit . I am staying with my friends , I afraid to go out , because I don’t have any paper . Why they are behaving like, are they not human?? yes I have doughts …when ever they need to go out of Saudi , they are going .I asked my rights , why they are not giving ?? How I will prevent them?? Am I not a human being?? Kindly I request to the Indian leaders , to be a good labor law between Saudi and India , so we can vigilant those who are working in Saudi .Our media can do good role to force our leaders as soon as Saudi government .
I am ram came from india. I finished B.E(EEE) in 2007. But i was now working for one supply mohamed h. Al-haider. Then didnt gave me job for past 5 months from jan2009 to may2009 and they send me as electrician in june2009. Then jul2009 i am woking as elect engg. But they gave me salary upto apr2009. They are not paying me for may,june and july. And they reduced my salary as 1400. They beat me and get the sign in contract. I need exit. Wat i want to do ? Tell me the way. Please

hi. have a blessed day, iam working here in italian restaurant here in tahalia, riyadh saudi arabia, L’Olimpo italian reatsurant… my concern is my contract is already finish last july 15 2009. i already filed for my exit 2 months before my end of contract. my manger promises me that i can go before my iqama will expire. after two months of waiting, they did not stand for their promises. until now iam still here waiting for it. my manager is threatening ( abdul nazzieh ) me. he said i cant get my ESB and he said i will pay for my own ticket and for the worse they will not sent me back home in the philippines… i hope you can help me with this matter…
