I’m glad you say there’s some good in the city. It is true, however, that the negatives almost always outshadow the positives, especially when there’s very little effort put to eliminate the bad.

Interesting you mention Dubai Cares. In spite of doing a great job abroad, I would have really liked to see the foundation do something for the poverty-stricken UAE nationals, and they are many. It is a good initiative, but I think the motto serves as a good reminder here: charity begins at home.

I’m not going to argue that it provided concrete evidence there is a blind eye turned on this “night industry”, but what I want to say is that there is also good in Dubai, the city is not all bad!

The Dubai Cares campaign, despite that I heard many people saying that it’s purpose is just fame for Dubai and not philanthropy per-se,I say well,if it produces good for the world then so be it!, I really don’t care about what people intentions’ are from doing something as much as I care for how that “something” is gonna turn out!

People say the same thing about celebrities,U2′s Bono, Angelina Jolie, and lately Bryan Adams with his Bryan Adams Foundation, I say let these people spend their money good, it’s better than if they spend it bad, believe me!

well it used to be pretty bad at first.. I remember a guy from Essex in UK tht he couldnt find news from there! and this page would’v e not been open to us either!
