Podcast: Insight into the world of business and women in Saudi Arabia

November 16th, 2007Esra'a (Bahrain)

This podcast features a lecture by a very powerful Saudi businesswoman, Madawi Al Hassoun, a board member of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce.

In this lecture she talks about how women are rising to power in Saudi Arabia, giving quite a few examples of other powerful women within the fields of business, science, art and education.

If you don’t know much about Saudi women, if the main thing you hold against them is their inability to drive, if you think Saudi women are doing nothing to achieve progress and change in the country, or if you’re just curious about what Mrs. Al Hassoun has to say – I suggest you listen to this podcast carefully and try to learn as much as possible from it. It’s from a professional, experienced, and well established woman who came this far due to her hard work and her dream of female empowerment within Saudi Arabia, especially amongst youth. This talk is inspiring, insightful, and very necessary to listen to.

PS: This podcast is exclusive, and was recorded for special use on Mideast Youth. It is not published anywhere else on the internet. If you wish to republish an edited version please do so with permission.
