That is easily the most messed up law I have heard of...
Well, except for the &quot;flogging for riding in a guy&#039;s car&quot; post earlier..
we had a similar thing going in Canada for awhile, where businessmen could jump the line by investing money in a &quot;development&quot; fund, but that ended quickly when everyone found out the fund was being invested by bureaucrats, and therefore losing huge amounts of cash.  But they certainly didn&#039;t discriminate!</description>

In Jordan, only men can transfer citizenship to their spouses and children, women cannot!, which is the case in most Arab countries!.

Aroub claimed that some Iraqis were granted citizenship in Jordan based on how much property they owned in the country, or  how much money they endowed in Jordanian banks, something I don&#039;t have concrete information about, so I cannot tell!</description>
