Account of Iraqi human rights lawyer hacked
I got a message today from the Executive Director of the Iraqi Organization for Human Rights Coordination (IOHRC) and I found it alarming enough to pass it along.
I am not sure of the details, it could be a technical problem, but seeing as Yahoo has a history of being involved in such deplorable things in restricted countries like China and Egypt, their involvement is likely. It could also just be a hack.
I am sorry to tell you that since Saturday, December 1, 2007, my own email [al_ukaily@yahoo.com] and my organization’s (the Iraqi Organization for Human Rights Coordination IOHRC) email [iohrc@yahoo.com] have been countered serious problem and I cannot access them any more… therefore, I apologize for any email you have sent and I have not replied since that date…and I ask you to ignore any email that comes to you as from the mentioned date from the above mentioned emails and be careful from any email that might come to you which subject is in Arabic is عاجل جدا) or in English (very urgent) and containing a link starting with iraqinews….as it closes the email and you will never be able to access it again…
Finally, my new email is [alukaily_h@yahoo.com] and the organization’s [iohrc_org@yahoo.com] … if you have any question or comment; please contact me on my mobile or the new emails…
What’s the deal?
Start writing to Yahoo and help us find out.

I dont think Yahoo! Inc. will help… considering the case in which a slain US Soilder’s father asked Yahoo! to release the password to him because he had left his will or something in his account or something tht he wanted to tell his dad.. the case kept on for months… when high-profile ppl like Kim Komando and other techies stepped in and then after months of pressure they released the password. Note tht the person was a US Citizen.. Yahoo! has no intention to “help” other ppl bcuz its mail system really sux now
Its spam filter sux so any code can pass thru , and when some1 opens it BOOM! the account’s info is sent to the hacker..
