Thank you jahanshah :)
I am the generation that watched the demonstrations with open mouth and saw how every one was exited by the wave of a revolution that no one even knew where it would lead. I witnessed that in those very early years of the revolution, the figured who were very popular and their names chanted by ewvery one suddenly being hated and expelled and the wave of people back in the streets chanting chanting against them, and as a child I became so confused, along with all my generation, that which one of these very fine gentlemen is truthful and which one is not? who is good? and what is good? I mean what does good and good for people consist of?
I hope the help of generation that left us in confusion help us back on the tract too, democracy that we recieve, even the teocracy that we experience, they do not smell of people , and of G-d.
Thank you for the post, I would love that we furthur this discussion to a meaningful conclusion some time :)

Dear Elinor,

I do not know your age, but I am from the generation of the Revolution. Although I lived in France and now in Germany most of my life, but continue being tied to my roots.

I posted also this conflicting article(Constitutional clash)in Iranian.com , a popular website in the US. You may also follow the debates there.

Here is one of my answers:

"In reality, whether the parliament, government and all key positions are controlled by reformists or by conservatives may make little difference.

Any legislation passed by the parliament must be approved by the Guardian Council, realm of Rafsanjani, which can reject legislation if it is incompatible with Islam.

The IRI’s parasitic various institutions are to guarantee the continuation of Mullah’s rule. The Constitution only safeguard the corrupt and criminal regime.

About God’s will, once, I come back across with a new discussion also interesting for Rosie and some people who see God or a source of goodness in another dimensional reality."

I think this answers also a part of your question. However, how we can find a solution is of course another great topic.

Jahanshah,
The constitution is not a constitution, unless the ask people of Iran to vote and decide they want to be ruled through rules suggested by this constitution, or they do not want that. What can we do? Is there a way to change it?
