We Blog for Women’s Equality (la-ha.org)
La-ha.org is now a blogo-scape where we can discuss and raise issues related to women in the Middle East in particular and the Arab World in general. The site has been created couple of months ago and recently some bloggers started writing and expressing their views there in issues regarding honor killings, citizenship, FGM, controversial religious issues, ect. It’s a site for free speech and noble causes.
We invite everyone who blogs on MEY or who only reads to join us on la-ha.org to write, comment, and communicate with others. This would be a great contribution for the campaign.
In Peace,

Great work, guys. I’d love to see more things on honor killings.
Hi Ahmed
Man I feel so inspired by this forum … take care
Thank you for what you do for our rights
Fantastic idea. You have a real opportunity to blaze a trail in coverage of this important set of issues and to really keep it on the radar. Please reach out to journalists as well. They need resources like this to justify bringing these issues to their large-scale readership.
Nice topics of discussion.. n honour killing is a disease killing us
Muneeb,
beside honor killing, there are some other very disturbing things we are facing here in Iran, specially in Kurdistan and that is women setting fire on themselves…I really cannot imagine how a women would do to herself, she should feel so desparate to do that, she should be emotionally too disturbed to have a clear vision of how she is taking away the rest of her precious life, I wish some one would go talk to the women and make them feel there is hope if they struggle , if they decide to be strong and fight the problems, and that it is worth it cherrshing the gift of life… this is one of the things that unfortunately is not much considered, although we have women from Kurdistan specially who have touched the subject in their novels and articles. It is not a problem here just in Kurdistan, but there are more reported cases from that region.
This is good. I think travesties that happen to women in Middle East need to be told, if not force, to the world so they can open their eyes and do something about it.
