Contradictions of the Saudi Religious Police – Bad Results..

First of all, read this article first..
Saudi Religious Commission to pay 700,000 SR in Research? – Written in Arabic -

Now, just let me get this straight.

Being that they already issued a “Fatwa” that it’s Haram (forbidden) for Ekhtilat (a female to interact with a male) to occur in the first place, and they gave us all these quoted verses from Quran and Sunna (some have been twisted to fit the image they want, and some have been stripped out of context), Saudis actually believe that THIS is an Islamic rule that we have to follow. It’s been like this for a long time. People lost touch with what’s religious and what’s made up.

H O W E V E R

They wander off gathering 700,000 SR to do a research to see if Ekhtilat is good or bad for business and economy?? You serious? 700 K?!

You deny something and say it’s prohibited with twisted EVIDENCE and then say, Hey let’s see if it “Really” works or not?

My ((personal)) opinion on this is this:

I don’t agree with that “fatwa”, because there is no script in islam that completely prohibits Ekhtilat, as much as it shows some simple rules that govern the interaction between males and females, but there are HUNDREDS of Islamic evidence that speaks about Khilawt (a female sitting in seclusion with a male) and even that, and how much is prohibited, Islam offered exceptional cases where it’s actually Allowed and even preferred. And this is like Islam 101 to be honest..

Am starting to question, maybe those religious individuals lost the Quran and started making up their own rules to fit their sick image of an Islamic state? Because am not that religious with the Beard and thobe, and I know more of Islam more than an official Religious scholar??

Or is it specified under the “lovable” category “Just in case evil happens, we close the whole damn door”?

And why all this money??? Do we need to lose more money on something pointless???

On another note, Now check this news article out..

Saudi Women arrested for having an official meeting, in Starbucks Family Section

Is it just me or does this extremely contradict the Religious intent to better our understanding of Women and Society in Islam? Where did that 700,000 go? New GMC’s?

So, here’s the image painted out and YOU tell me what do you think.. We’re paying a huge sum to study a corrupted religious fatwa, in order to help the economy more, and yet when we find one of the aspects of reform that we paid that money for being applied, we go back to our old selves and mentality and cause even more damage?

Didn’t we announce the protection of Women Rights just a couple of days ago? When will it start, because sh*t is really starting to hit many fans in the Saudi Society.

Yours,
Lou..
