Condemning the brutal slaughter of Yeshiva Students

Author: Elinor (Iran) - March 7, 2008

Here the G-d fearing people of a country are targetted, by whom? Do they not fear G-d? The ones who kill the students of religion? G-d will forsake them. If there are people in our chaotic region who condemn this barbaric act here is where they can show their resentment , and respect for the students and the relatives of the students of yeshiva, apart from all the dirty political ups and downs we are all caught in.

  • Elinor, I appreciate your feelings on this. People who think that they heard the voice of God, and that He told them to perpetrate such killing, must be hard of hearing, and weak-minded. If God shows His face upon this good earth, it is in the act of creation. And if He created us in His image, no less, then He put us on this good earth to live; not to kill, and not to die, before our time. There are equities on both sides, I know, but unless we get back to basis, there will be no basis for moving forward.

  • I condemn this terror too. and also yesterday terror in Iraq. And sympathy with their family and relatives! And hope the world be a better place tomorrow!

Thank you Nissim, I hope G-d helps us with interpreting his words into what is peaceful and what is frutiful and not into the evil actions.

  • I cannot even begin to express how I feel over the realization that a critical mass of people celebrate, gloat over, and get a sense of empowerment from, a deliberate massacre of teenagers.

Lord Kavi, thank you for your brave support, I know it is not very much appricited when they scan the websites and see any thing against the outlines of what we have to say on the websites.
Lord Kavi, my daddy was killed in the ar of Iran and Iraq. For years as a child I suffered, but I nevber blame Iraqi nation for what happened to my dad, it was a war, and that happens in a war. I never want any single Iraqi, from any religon or ethnic group suffer, I want to see them prosper, same about Israel, I wish to see their people happy and living, same for Palestinians, i want to see them happy and prosperous, we all deserve that, we really do. That’s way we have to condemn any brutal act.

Thank you. BTW, I am hosting a blog carnival this week–I am going to add a link to this post. People here are really hurting; even a single sane voice (and a bit of hope that maybe, someday, things will be better) can make a difference.

    Thank you gila,
I want them to know no one approves of this, people of our region need calm. No family would like this, if we approve, it mean we want that for our own families, we do not want this. If our countries do not let us voice our feelings , our honest reactions, Here in MEY we may reflect our thoughts, I am grateful to the directiors of MEY who provide us with this opportunity to voice our ideas. Wishin and praying for a better Middle East. Amen
