Tehran’s police chief, Reza Zarei, has been arrested after he was found nude in a local brothel with six naked prostitutes, the Farda news website reported Wednesday.
… Over the past year Zarei was in charge of enforcing the Islamic dress code on Iranian women with the purpose of “moralizing of the city.”
It is alleged that in the past six months, hundreds of young people have been arrested in Iran for not respecting the Islamic code of behavior.
The immensity of this disgusts me but hardly surprises me. Are they gonna stone him to death? Lash his filthy butt? Oh yeah, like that’s ever gonna happen. You see, “Islamic” law is just a way to gain power, oppress people and hide behind a veil of piety.

anyway, even if the story is true (search for the word “rumor” in Ynet article) there is a fact that the raid on the brothel was ordered by a top figure in the Islamic regime. this is how a democratic regime fight corruption, no?
but still this story is a rumor and its primary source is a newspaper from a country which is considered a #1 enemy of Iran. it could be something like wartime propaganda.

the first source which published the whole ‘rumor’ (though seems true) was peiknet.com, which is an ultra-dissident site that bears a background of both shedding light on some dark corners of IRI as well as spreading make-believes. this site states that “Iran’s head of judiciary system” directly ordered the arrest, though they are to keep the event silent and secret till the election is done. in addition, judiciary system spokesman said in his media briefing that “there is a file about a high ranking police officer, though it is supposed to be kept secret during the primary investigations”.
and dont worry… the whores were female, as the peiknet.com reported!

what actually happens, however, often follows a wierd scenario: its very probable that this police officer was not the only customer of the mentioned whores, for such high-class call girls usually serve a wide range of high-ranking customers; and these smart high-class girls usually gather an intersting library of photos and videos of their famous customers so as to use it as a protective shield in the case of danger… “they usually know the sizes, customs and favorite positions of so many officers”… then, when one of these customers is caught, the whore is usually the only one who finds a way out of the case… maybe by remembring the judge that there are some photos of himself as well, either in the caught mistress’s library, or in the archive of “another friend”!

Please allow me to rephrase this completely unjust title, How about “Corrupted Unqualified Tehran Police Chief is Finally Caught with 6 Prostitutes”? I don’t think that it matters weather this person is Shia or Sunni. What matters the most is that the system that somehow this person managed to fool with to go up the ladder is finally caught and possibly headed to a trial by that very same system.
Additionally, I don’t think that the “former” police chief represents Islam here, neither Shia nor Sunni in one way or the other. It is pointless to discuss his ethnic background or his religious beliefs (as if he’s got any)
On a side note, I also think that it will be extremely funny and hilarious to be caught by your own subordinates.

Isn’t it interesting how, time and time again, those who wrap moral righteousness around themselves and lord it over everyone else seem to get caught with their pants absent doing stuff that they punish other folks for.
