In The New York Times today (Week in Review page 2, not sure of the online link) there is an article comparing Reza Zarei with former New York Governor Elliot Spitzer, the mayor of Detroit, the mayor of Newark and a former Ohio prosecutor, all of whom broke the law and took advantage of their public office for private profit, financial or amorous.

Re: Zarei and Spitzer, for those looking for new ways to encourage dialogue between the Western and Muslim worlds, perhaps they could start a sex addicts anonymous club for these “gentlemen.”

I certainly hope the women aren’t punished over this. Girls do not grow up dreaming of being a hooker.

I’m not sure what the chances are that anyone in Iranian law enforcement will agree.
