MEY launches Global Village TV in beta!

April 19th, 2008Esra'a (Bahrain)

After months of hard work, we finally launched Global Village TV (GVTV).

GVTV is a dynamic, educational platform, co-created by Baha’is and Muslims working hand in hand to cultivate an interfaith community.

For the past few months, we have been working diligently on this initiative, in hopes that it would contribute to improving and advancing serious interfaith.

We realized that in many forums, in the process of interfaith, the Baha’i Faith, Yezidi faith, and many other religions are left out. This community aims to change that.

You can view a brief demonstration of this network here:

We encourage you all to join.

  1. Esra’a dear :)
This is a very fimt step forward, and thank you and Umar for this great job :)

  2. You are the best Elinor, thank you. I can always rely on your support to keep going.

  3. this is fantastic thank you!!!

  4. I am very impressed and will encourage my friends to participate. I really believe in the power of the dialogue. At this juncture in the world, I think dialogue is the most ignored, and most important action, that people desiring understanding can undertake. Thank you so much for providing a venue. Esra’a, you rock! And please thank your friend Umar for us.

  6. Great idea!

How can I add an embeded clip from youtube? I don’t see this as an option. I wrote to meytv@mideastyouth.com but it bounced back.

  7. Hey Corey! Oh I should probably set that e-mail up; we were just using it for demo purposes. Thanks for reminding me.

Currently that’s not an option, but what you can do is download the YouTube video from here and then upload it. It should take less than 10 minutes or so depending on the size of the video. Totally worth it too!

  8. Thanks! I posted something.

  9. excellent!!!

    Hope to see more!!! :)

  10. Hi Corey, did you post? I don’t see anything new there..

  11. Ohhh! You posted it on meytv.com, I thought you meant globalvillagetv.org, which is where I was checking for your new post. Thanks for your contribution!

  12. It is a wonderful initiative! Thank you Esra’a and also thanks to Umar. I look forward to seeing GVTV and will let all my friends and relatives know about this shining light of understanding from the Middle East!
