		<description>The lack of dialogue undercuts reason because dialogue often forces you to defend your position, and to do that you have no choice but to use reason. Therefore, the more isolated a society is, the more vulnerable it becomes to ideology which is not reasonable.

We can see this dynamic on this website. Once in a while somebody goes off the deep end. But with enough dialogue, he either defends his position, or is marginalized by the weight of opinions which are contrary to his. So perhaps the internet will be a tool for breaking down the false walls we build around ourselves, in the name of false beliefs. Anything that can help in this regard is a blessing, because false belief, more than anything else, is what&#039;s wrong with this world.</description>
