Farewell to a blogger..
I bid farewell to a smart, talented and young Saudi blogger Hadeel Alhodaif who passed away this last Friday following a coma. In her short 25 years Hadeel had written many blogs on different social issues and had the guts of using her real name when discussing and criticizing social matters in Saudi Arabia.
I remember reading about her and visiting her site “Heaven’s Steps” (http://hdeel.ws/blog) several months back. I was even more impressed by her when I learned that she gave a lecture at the women’s section of the Riyadh Literary Club calling on women to start their own blogs to help influence public policy and opinion.
Here is an article on ArabNews about her.
She is a loss to her family, friends for sure and to many people who followed her blogs without personally knowing her.. May she rest in peace.

I kept trying to add the link to the arabnews article.. well if you click on the last sentence in blue you will get it..
This is so sad, she accomplished a lot in her short life. May God protect her.
Why and how did she fall into a coma?
This is seriously depressing. I had conversed with Hadeel only a few times but enough to know that she was a really brave, honest, and inspiring young lady. She was really instrumental in making the ‘Silence for Fouad’ day possible, and was also the creator of the Free Fouad group on Facebook. What a grave loss. May she rest in peace.
Rasha,
Thank you for respecting her name, it is sad to lose a blogger, a young one, a woman, G-d bless her soul.
Esra’a
So she helped for the silnce day for Fouad, she should have been a very nice lady.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilahi raji’un

May she be a step closer to heaven. Amen.
