She goes huntin & fishin! She has an inuit hubby! She has a down syndrome baby! She'll be the BEST VP EVAH!
The Republicans are never going to admit Iraq was a mistake because it was completely orchestrated by them and their neo-con corporate buddies. They are also never going to seriously commit military forces or political muscle to catching or killing OBL and crew, because if they did then the whole anti-terror, homeland security "getcher guns and canned food, buddy the barbarians are at the gate" juggernaut of security and military spending would be called into question, not to mention the addict-pusher culture of petroleum dependance that is now making ominous rumbles at Venezuela and the South Coast of the Artic (stay on your side of the Beaufort Sea, Ray).
I like Sarah Palin, and I disagree with the notion that only the intellectual elite deserve office. Academic accomplishments and business acumen do not nessecarily translate into character and integrity, and in fact are usually the opposite. The reason many people prefer to vote for the candidate that appears to be from their cultural or social background is that quite frankly most folks have had pretty bad experiences with those who come from "better" backgrounds.
Unfortunately, it always seems to happen that a good candidate ends up running for the worst party.
Well, at least you folks don't have to put up with a leader that spends the summer running attack ads on the opposition before breaking his own procedural rule and calling an election early. Too bad we can't trade em like pro athletes...

But..but she’s the Sexy Librarian! She goes huntin & fishin! She has an inuit hubby! What I can't stand about a large percentage of Americans is that they vote for candidates based on whether or not they are just an average all american dude they can relate to with nice personalities. Whatever happened to electing above average people with IQs that aren't bordering on that of a complete idiotAnd how can people say they are against abortion and value the sanctity of all human life, yet these same people are the ones saying the wars they started are being blessed or led by God. What just happened to valuing the sanctity of all life?

Good article.
