What would you tell an American voter?
This post was contributed to Mideast Youth by Sadaf Siddique, Project Manager of Dear American Voter.
While only Americans have the right to vote in the upcoming US presidential elections, the rest of the world is closely watching who will become the next leader of the world.

What is your message to American voters?
Should America withdraw from Iraq?
Should the US have a role in the Middle-East peace process?
Do you want your point of view heard?
Tell us what you think!
Dear American Voter, a project of Link TV, invites you to be a part of a global dialogue featuring responses from around the world to the question, “What should Americans think about as they cast their ballot?”
Watch global citizens in over 90 videos from over 22 countries talking about how American policies affect their lives.

America, and the world, for that matter, faces three general types of threats: the threats to the Environment, the threats to the Economy, and the threats from Extremism. I call these the 3-E’s, for short. Thomas Friedman, a well known writer and reporter in the U.S., just wrote a new book in which he refers to these threats as Hot, Flat, and Crowded.
Even to the cursory observer, it becomes clear that the 3-E’s are inter-related and inter-connected. They are a package deal, of sorts. You can’t solve one, without solving the other two.
How should the new president handle these threats? He should initiate a Green Revolution, and partner with the entire world in this effort. If successful, we will all see some very worthwhile results: green technology jobs which help to curb extremist thinking, oil profits being converted into green profits, new economic vitality being brought to stagnat economies all around the world, a new respect for the sanctity of the planet, a new inspiration to America, to the Arab world, and to the world as a whole, a movement toward peace through partnership, etc.
The new president will have to part ways with some of the legacy of the past, in favor of a new hope for tomorrow. He will have to sell us on a Vision of Hope. He will do this not just for political gain, but for the sake of bringing back to life the American dream, and the hope for mankind.
