Arabic and Farsi version of Mideast Youth set to launch in November

October 28th, 2008Esra'a (Bahrain)

These past few months have been the busiest for us, and you may have noticed that for a while now the site has been under development. There will not be any radical changes, but we are introducing a few new features that can accompany our growth as an organization. It’s taking longer than expected but it’s a tough process and we are getting there.

Mideast Youth will make no sense if it solely exists in English, the vast majority in this region do not speak the language. We’d hate to limit anyone from participating, so when I first founded the network I always knew there will be a time when we are strong enough to officially exist in more than one language.

That time is now.

Sometime in November, we will be launching the Arabic and Farsi versions of Mideast Youth. They will include some translations of the best articles the English section and will also include exclusive posts from members whose Arabic is stronger.

2 summers ago we attempted this same process, but we didn’t have the traffic necessary to succeed. Now we do as the demands for a multi-lingual Mideast Youth have grown significantly this past year.

We are now in the process of recruiting editors and moderators for these sites. If you are interested please send an e-mail to director[at]mideastyouth.com or kaw[at]mideastyouth.com (replace [at] with @) or simply leave a comment here.

  1. Hi dear Esra’a :)
I guess G-d himslef is helping you with Mideasth. I cannot believe the Persian version :) I hope they won’t filter the webpage in Iran and that people in Iran be able to share their views with the rest of Middle East that way. Bless your heart my dear :)
