REMINDER: Two days left to vote
On the 11th of November, voting will be closed for the Staples Youth Social Entrepreneur Competition, of which Mideast Youth is one of the 15 finalists.
Time and time again, Esra’a and others have written about the difficulties in securing funding and maintaining tens of projects with a minimal income. A project that we were continuously forced to set aside due to the lack of funds is creating the Arabic and Farsi versions of Mideast Youth.
Over more than two years, Mideast Youth has succeeded in bringing in diverse voices from across the region and has allowed us to share our dreams, passions and fears and challenge our deep-seated beliefs – an opportunity that was inconceivable a few years ago.
But by limiting our medium of communication to English, we automatically alienate millions of youth across the region who lack proficiency in the language, and we’re thus deprived of the unique perspectives and insights they have to offer.
If we win this competition, the project we will undertake is to build a platform built on the same principles of fierce – but respectful – dialogue in Arabic and Farsi, and YOUR votes and YOUR support can make it happen.
If you haven’t voted yet, please register and VOTE for us. And if you have, spread the news to friends, family and colleagues.

Thanks Kawthar for posting this. We are desperate for votes because we really NEED the assistance. This ambitious site is getting increasingly harder to maintain, improve and grow, and without the help of our voters, a Farsi and Arabic verison of Mideast Youth may not be possible soon, unless I sell my inner organs in the black market, which I am still considering.
Please people, it takes seconds! Vote for us and we will NOT let you down. This place would be a lot more useful and meaningful if it was available in the two prominent regional languages.
Well, we didn’t win. But we can accept that and move on. I will find a way to make our ambitious plans possible, don’t worry.
