Pretty soon, the fight over water will overtake the fight over oil. We can do without oil, but we can't do without water.

I applaud the efforts of Shari Arison in this regard. She expemplifies a tendency among some of the wealthies individuals, to use their resources and their knowledge, toward improving the lives of those less fortunate. Bill and Melinda Gates, as well as Warren Buffett fall into this category as well, as do many other philanthropists.

This combination of great wealth, business acumen, and a willingness to leave behind a noble legacy, is a powerful force that can be marshalled in making this world a better place. What begins as an isolated project here and there, could easily mushroom into a movement for change, if enough people get behind it. I for one see great promise here, and I would encourage us all to support such efforts any way we can.
