I suggest you read the posts on bahairights.org before you make another comment. There you’ll get answers to most of your “questions.”
What our concern is is not necessarily that the seven Yaran are accused of spying for Israel. It is that they are denied access to legal counsel and deprived of due process. This is only one part of the cultural cleansing that has been going on in Iran for decades.
The comment that you made is an example of how Iranian officials would attempt to justify their point of view and actions–without taking the evidence into consideration that contradicts it.

Ellis, your comment is brimming with hypocracy and sheer inconsideration for other innocent civilians. Your justification and dismissal of Iran's treatment of the Baha'i minority is no worse than any Israeli justifying any crimes taken place against Gazans by claiming that it's inisignificant purely because of the numbers involved.

Using your logic, I can also argue that not a single protest in the Arab world by non-Baha'is was taken in honor of the hundreds of victims who are denied basic human rights within the region. But millions of them protest on behalf of Gazans every single day, which is fine and admirable, but rest assured a crime against any other human being is a crime REGARDLESS of their nationality and religion - and Baha'is are just as deserving of protection and human rights as Gazans are. People deserve to be aware of Iran's vast crimes just as people are already aware of Israel's crimes in Gaza. There is no difference in terms of importance. Baha'is have been abused and hundreds have been executed since 1979, while thousands are denied the right to education, health care, employment, or any right to average involvement in public life while being violently harrassed.

Please educate yourself on these values by reading this post which exposes these types of corrupt and self-important mentalities that has kept us away from progress for too long. This abusive hypocracy and general inconsideration for other innocent human beings is intolerable and is the prime cause of innocent minoirites being abused in the region on a daily basis. What shame!

It's people like this who really give me more passion to keep fighting for Baha'i human rights and not just the rights of people who serve any political ideology or self-serving agenda. Human rights are HUMAN rights, they are not just GAZAN rights or rights of people who share YOUR religion and opinions - the rights are deserved for EVERYONE and should be fought for equally and consistently until they are gained for all.

The international community has witnessed the killing of woman and children of Gazza by Israel for so many days. Not a single Baha'i has come forward for these innocent lives to condemn Israel for their crimes.
Israel does not permit Baha'is to teach their faith in their country.
Yet these Baha'is are making hue & cry of just 7 persons who are caught spying for Israel in Iran.
What is this?
The 7 are not injured in any bombardment. The baha'is are not harrased for water and electricity as the Gazzans are. The Baha'i children have their houses intact. They are not under seige as are Gazzans.
One one side the Baha'is talk of obeying the laws of the land. They obey only the laws of Israel and on the other hand they disobey Iran's laws. Its ridiculous.

The guy on the left: This must prove something special about the Bahais. They have a piece of modern US made technology that no one here in 1996 has ever seen before.
The guy on the right: Of course, this Iphone is not like the one Steve Jobs of the US computer company Apple will show to the public in Jan. 2007 This phone is much more advance than that. You have to check out the address book.
The guy on the left: How do I do that?
The guy on the right: How should I know, I've never seen this before.
The guy on the left: Then how do you know about the address book?
Guy on the Right: Uhhhhhhh, lucky guess?
Guy on the left; Are you one of "Them"?
Guy on the Right: How long have you known me?
Guy on the left: Since we were in elementary school!
Guy on the Right: And in all this time have you thought I was strange, or threatening, or crazy?
Guy on the Left: No, never! I even looked up to you and admired you for your kindness to me.
Guy on the Right: So.....? Do you think Bahais would behave differently?
Guy on the Left: I don't really know, I've never actually met a Bahai, only through the TV news...
Guy on the Right; Well, yes you have, you just didn't realize it.
