An Appeal to the Arab Nation: Where is Your Conscience?
June 22nd, 2009To the Peoples of the Arab Nation,
Today crimes are being committed in Iran by a leadership that opposes the will of its people. Innocent lives are being taken by Khamenei and his servant Ahmadinejad and many of you sit on the sidelines and watch.
I know Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are very popular in your nations. Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are seen by you as the embodiment of justice, rightousness. The Islamic Republic is seen by your people as being the paradise where people can enjoy Islamic justice and progress. Some of you have benefitted by the resources that they spend on you day and night. When two years ago Israel destroyed Lebanon, it was the Iranian government lead by Ahmdinejad who poured every resources and fixed the areas with bridges, hospitals and houses. Do you know 20 years after the Iran-Iraq War, the areas where the war took place in Iran, has not been fixed!!! To add insult to injury, Ahmadinejad committed Iranian money to fix Iraq!!! You are bribed into supporting a system that oppresses the Iranian people. From Hezbollah in Lebanon, to Hamas in Palestine, to the Syrian and Iraqi government, Iran’s government pours resources for you while in an oil-producing nation its own people have to stand in line to get petrol for their car.
I ask you to examine yourselves and your conscience. How can these leaders who you think of as being your saviours, kill young women and men, their own citizens just so they can stay in power? How can they be running an Islamic system and steal from their own people?
Its time for you to put aside your Shia-Bias, Sunni-Bias, anti-Western bias or whatever it is that blinds you from seeing Khamenei and Ahmadinejad for who they are liars, thieves, and criminals.
O Arab Nation Where is Your Conscience?

“I know Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are very popular in your nations”
as popular as bush and israel!! I can assure that a HUGE chunk of lebanon supports a free iran, an Iran that will not meddle in our affairs or provide support to hizbollah. we see what’s happening now as a bigger more violent version of what happened here a couple of years ago.
You deserve a government that cares for its people and we’re behind you 100%! Don’t let the TRUE revolution of freedom fade and don’t give up.
Iran, Syria and Lebanon could have Peace with Israel,
But First they need Peace IN their own countries.
And that will help Peace with/for the Palestinians.
inappropriate ranting directed at the wrong people. don’t blame this mess on the arabs that applaud ahmadinejad’s stance towards u.s. aggression, blame it on the overwhelming majority of your country that voted for ahmadinejad. or do only the people in tehran matter?
For me it is an internal Iranian matters and we shouldnt pour oil on the fire to see the whole iranian people are burning (and this is just what Israel wants, at the time they are preparing to hit Iran and take it decades backward)… The Iranian problem should be solved internally and peacefully without shedding more blood…
Alain H says:
but he is so pleased with the Saudi sheikhs who are devastating Lebanon with their money, not for serving the Lebanese people but to serve their agents in Lebanon…
I appreciate the Iranian great people who are so proud of themselves and stand dignified against the West who are trying to create a humble and easily lead Iran… The Iranian shouldnt listen to the West who dont care about Moussawi or Nejad but care about Israel and their “very democratic” Sheikhs of the Gulf…
Iran should regain its stability soon to avoid the “malicious” intervention of the West and the Gulf who both are dreaming of de-nuclearize Iran and bring it back kneeling poor and indigenous!!
Free Iran and the Iranian people!!
Ahmadinejad has already took us decades backward. He is the best option for Israel to be Iran’s president. Khaz ali was the first one with the theory that Ahmadi nejad is a zionist since he has chenged his family.I read the article short after ahmadinejad became president and now many others are talking about it.
As an iranian I don’t want a nuclearize Iran.I don’t want to stand against the West I just want to live in peace.2 days ago when I was going back home I was seeing the streets as if I am in Iraq and there is war, every where was Guardians and basijis with guns streets in fire, stones and glass ,People were on the roofs saying “allaho akbar”.This is what streets of Tehran looks like at 10pm.
Laila,
I really respect the Irabian people. I am with the Iranian People and what with Ahmadi Nejad nor mousawi. The Iranian people should stand strong and dont listen to those who are using them against their own government!! I really hope there would be a peaceful end for this problem and Iran to stay strong and dignified … I really appreciate the Iranian people who could create such a strong state… or you would like a state like Egypt and Saudia Arabia just to apply what the West order them to do?
Sami the BedUin says
Devastating with money? you mean the hundreds of millions of dollars they invest in lebanon? I as right wing christian have no problem with saudi arabia and the piles and piles of cash it has doted on lebanon but i MOST definitely have a problem with Iran’s perpetual meddeling in our affairs and the piles and piles of weapons it ships to the terrorist organisation cheesebollah.\
PS: don’t patronise the rest of us, we hate israel as much as the next moral human being _ u should see my youtube channel _ but to denounce one kind of terrorism and support another, well that’s just ‘American’
I’m agreeing with Alain. Iran’s influential meddling in not just Lebanese but many other Arab countries is disturbing especially with their funding of terrorist groups and it doesn’t make them any better than the Israel we all criticize here who are on the same boat in terms of terrorism and corruption as Iran is. Just like Arabs speak up against Israel and its war crimes the same should be noted about Iranian backed terrorist organizations. americans of course they are all standing up for iran right now but where were they when people were being shot at in Iraq and imprisoned for being critical of the american government? who by the way are backing the worst dictators in the history of the middle east.
America, Israel, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia and whatever else, they are the same. Corrupt and self centered, willing to kill to protect their economic and political interests. Now the future is in the hands of the people, not any government.
I like to remind those who believe that the West is leading these protest to let them know that that’s not the case. We are an independent people who want to normalize relations with all. We have no ill-will against any nation.
Iranians got rid of the Shah 30 years ago because he was an oppresser, they are doing the same thing now. Except now it requires a new bravery which as you see both our young and old people are showing to the world. Iran unlike some the nations in the region have experienced with both sets of dicatorship secular and religious and have come to the conclusion, that democracy is the best system for us. While Iranian are very religious people, i think most of us have come to the conclusion that our religious believes must be expressed in freedom rather than forced. We can practice it on our own and don’t need Mr. Khamenei as the Supreme Leader to protect us until the return of the Mehdi.
As to the question of the protest being only in Tehran, let me inform you that there have been protests in Isfahan, Shiraz, Ahvaz, Mashhad, Tabriz, you can see their clips on youtube. Today there were strikes in the Kurdish region (the region that according to the Ministry of the Interior Ahmadinejad “won”), they were so happy he won they went on strike.
As for some you who you say that you respect Iranians, then why do you insist on supporting the leaders who kill them?
Alian says:
investing in what? in supporting their agents? in spoiling the Lebanese people? in their trash of TV channels? in using the Lebanese girls? in spoiling the youth Lebanese by their trash hollow TV programs???? investing in what? tell me!! Didnt they interfere in the elections directly and spent over $750 million for their agents? Didnt they interfere and help the Israelis assassinating some Lebanese, and devastating the country with their agents? Come on!! how many did they give you personally to defend them?
Maybe the world is just wanted to create a balance between good and bad. Rich and poor. Peace and war. Since most part of the world in the west are in peace why not war in the middle east lol. I guess its a destiny
Hay CHEAP… Hell is every where and it seems cheap to talk they way you talk CHEAP!!
They are spoiling us! how dare they? they must act like syria and kidnap us or like Iran _soon to be old Iran_ and support terrorism on our land.
I usually never write this but LOL; It’s the other way around dude, those are OUR TV channels, they only have a minimal share in them because they know how profoundly profitable and influential they can be.
spare me this crap, cheesebollah got hundreds of millions from iran as well, they brought thousands of their illegitimate supporters from the four corners as well.
BTW cheesebollah with the help of syria assassinated many of out pro-democracy leaders.
finally they’ve given me nothing But they’ve showered my country with cash, you’re right i should hate them!! the #%$@^#

WHEN YOU ASK FOR DEMOCRACY, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. ALL DEMOCRACY MEANS IS RULE BY THE MAJORITY. IT DOES NOT MEAN “LIBERTY” OR “FREEDOM” OR “JUSTICE”! JUST “MAJORITY RULE”. So, 51% of the voters can vote to take away your rights, or property, or perhaps to ravage Ahwaz (Arabistan, or Khuzistan, as they call it) and steal its oil for the benefit of the Persian majority; or they can deny rights to the Kurds in their original homeland (Iranian Kurdistan). Democracy is itself no guarantor of liberty or freedom. The US Constitution does not even MENTION democracy, and of those leaders who wrote the Constitution, several opposed it openly, and NONE supported it openly. The constitution of the US emphasized LIBERTY only. If democracy itself is a blessing, how do you explain the century of genocide against the Native Americans, during which they had NO rights or even citizenship? And most of the world has had slavery, but only in the US did slavers rape the girls and women they “owned” to give them babies, which (their own children!) they then sold to other owners far away, to keep the poor mothers from trying to escape to find their stolen children? Until 50 years ago, it was illegal in most of the US for persons of Asian or African origin to marry persons of European origin! Is this the “democracy” you seek? G.W. Bush took the presidency of the US by a brilliantly-exercised coup d’etat: he had the Supreme Court of the US halt the counting of the votes while he was momentarially ahead. After he was sworn in (by the Supreme Court!) the votes were counted, giving his opponent a clear majority! Democracy? Yep, that’s exactly what it is. Who out there can deny that the US is the paramount in democracy? But how many of you want this “blessing”?
This is the system that has given the world the worst act of terrorism ever. “Terrorism” is defined (by the US State Department) as an act of violence directed against a civilian population, to achieve a political goal. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed with nuclear bombs resulting in over 400,000 deaths. The US position? It was to force Japan into surrender (a political goal)! The US mined the harbor of Nicaragua, and when their government went to the World Court for justice, the US (one of the original creators of the Court), refused to repond. And the attacks from Florida against Cuba, the war against VietNam, the war against Iraq, the bombing of Beirut, Tripoli, Khartoum, Cambodia; the invasions of Grenada, Santo Domingo, Nicaragua; etc., etc.,etc.
How did Hawaii become part of the US? Armed Anglo-American settlers migrated there and when they were numerically strong enough, overthrew the indigenous monarchy and declared a republic; they then asked the US to take possession of the colony in their name, making the plot secure! When more settlers arrived and their rule was secure, it was eventually made a “state”.
Is this what we want to inherit? A system based on hypocrisy, that only works because of the mass stupidity and ignorance of it’s citizenry?
I don’t know what will be the solution for Iran, but they should think twice before blindly following the US! The same applies to any third-world nation or state.
