The Lurching Zionist Dream

by

Along with my jewish gf, I had the chance to visit Kibutz Keneret, near Tiberius Lake, to see her old relative there… And I met the reality of the Zionist dream there, in flesh and blood!

Kibutz Keneret

We chatted to that old man of 80+ but he was still active in the Kibutz working daily as if in his 40s. In the evening we sat and he started to tell us (and he didn’t know I am an Arab) enthusiastically but bitterly about his long life in the Kibutz, in achieving the Zionist dream.

He came in the early 1930s, as the dream was still fresh and flourishing, from Poland with his parents and directly joined the Argon (the underground Zionist gangs at that time). He told us how they were driven enthusiastically hectic to build the army, how they were working endlessly in the land during the day and in the secret units in the night. How they were ploughing the land, fighting the arabs, guarding the jewish yeshuvim in the night and taking military training: “there was no time for the trifles of nowadays and we had to dig with our teeth to get our bread and protect ourselves” !!! And how finally they kicked the arabs from their villages one by one (fighting for their existence) until they established the “medinah” state of Israel !!! And even after that how a new stage of building the nation and protecting it started within and with the help of the Kibutz, as it (the Kibutz) was the cornerstone in building the “nation” !!!

This man, came immigrant from Poland, he got a new name ( a jewish one, as part of the Zionist project to unplug the old identity of the immigrants to plant a new brand “Zionist” one). His name (which I cant disclose here, but ready if irritated) was taken from the very occupied stolen land and took its history, its color, its stolen identity. It’s a zionist psychological technique to take from the jewish immigrants everything relate them to their homeland (in Europe or whatever) and plant new elements; their names, their language, their friend, their job, neighborhood,.. and pass them through a long and tiring program of (Olpan) sessions, seminars and religious brainwashing (if they are not already brainwashed) to drive them into “pure” Zionists rampaging the land fighting for their very “existence” !!!

And the story of this man drove me (lately) to think of the jewish American writer John Steinbeck who wrote of: the end of the American dream

This old man, as we visited him, was at his late age and the last string of his hope in “the new generation” (as he called them) who have no ties to the “promised land” and most of them are converted jews.

When started talking of the present time his tone changed into bitter and sad… there is nothing left to be done, nothing left to dream of…. And the most killing (for him) is the “new generation” who isn’t good for anything and are not trusted to achieve and continue the dream !!!

However, from a historic viewpoint the Zionist dream is over for different reasons:

The festive atmosphere at the 15th World Congress on Jewish Studies held last week [held early this month] at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem was accompanied by an air of sadness. This was due to the sense that Israel perhaps is not the focal point of Diaspora Jewry, despite being home to the largest database in the world on Judaism and Jews.

There are no more jews to be convinced to be brought to the “promised land” (though now the zionists are talking of a new giant wave from India “jews”, if there are Indian jews anyway) in addition the number of the international Jewry is getting less and less while the Palestinians have a relentless generative people in the heart of Israel itself, a fighting demographic reality!!!

More and more jews are heading West leaving the colonized land for the natives specially after the suicidal uprising of the second Intifada, and this was referred to repeatedly by the Israeli politicians starting from the leftist Yael Dayyan years ago to the rightist Levni this week. Moreover, even the existing jews are working to have European passports (usually from where they come from originally) anticipating the unknown !!!

In addition, throughout the world, universities are losing their status as knowledge and information providers as the Internet becomes an increasingly dominant player, even in researching the past.

This means that the open sphere of the internet is threatening for the conspirator zionism and it left no room (or in its way to leave no room) for the Zionist propaganda, like an article appeared last month saying that the AIPAC is lurching dead in front of the new informative technologies.

Alan Blum, a Jewish American philosopher, claimed in his book The Closing of the American Mind that truth was replaced on campuses by political correctness, whose tyranny threatens democratic society.

More and more intellectual jews (of philosophers, historians, archaeologists university professors and the rest of the chain, shall we name tens?) cant buy anymore the Zionist lying of propaganda and choose to take the side of real truth of what is really going on on the ground. They are not only raising their voices, but also no longer fear being stigmatized (as it is a ready Zionist weapon to use) of being anti-Semitic or self-hating jews !!!!

The Zionist dream is in its final stage ready to be taken to the hospital if not the morgue and the first reason is the fighting reality of the Palestinian people on their homeland for almost a hundred year now !!!

I have a dream today… of getting free soon to see Palestine enfolding all religions and races in one democratic secular state but not Jeninstan though !!!

Sami, the Bedouin.

PS: I was inspired by a jewish friend to write this !!!

Who still wants to learn about Judaism?
In failure of our value system, self-destructive dance plaguing group of educated, self-hating academics who threw away truth-seeking in favor of political correctness in universities compromises Jewish studies, keeps students away, says Mor Altshuler

The festive atmosphere at the 15th World Congress on Jewish Studies held last week at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem was accompanied by an air of sadness. This was due to the sense that Israel perhaps is not the focal point of Diaspora Jewry, despite being home to the largest database in the world on Judaism and Jews.

Discussions were dedicated to the crisis plaguing Jewish studies departments – namely, that every year the number of students choosing to study Bible, Jewish history, or Hebrew language gets smaller and smaller. It is possible that this phenomenon is linked to the shrinking endowments of humanities departments in general, to the materialism of the younger generation that prefers to study fields that will bear speedy economic returns on investment.

In addition, throughout the world, universities are losing their status as knowledge and information providers as the Internet becomes an increasingly dominant player, even in researching the past.

Take, for instance, the thousands of rare and first editions of books that have been scanned and made available on the Internet. In years to come, the Internet will also contain scanned versions of periodicals. The virtual library will beat out the bricks-and-mortar library, the very symbol of the old university. In a similar manner, the importance of group learning, in classrooms, in front of flesh-and-blood lecturers is decreasing.

Yet, these are only external changes and provide only a partial explanation on the brain drain from theoretical learning. The devaluation of humanities in the West stems from a failure of our value system, which has its source in the thinning of content and turning our backs on the search for truth that was once at the very aim of learning to begin with.

Alan Blum, a Jewish American philosopher, claimed in his book The Closing of the American Mind that truth was replaced on campuses by political correctness, whose tyranny threatens democratic society.

Spirit of Zionism
In Israel, a nationalist element is added to the failure of the value system, seeing as the first universities were established in the spirit of Zionism. Already in the first Zionist congresses, the Hebrew University and the Technion were planned and slated to be built with the help of Zionist benefactors. These institutions were expected to build an educated and enlightened society and to create a cultural renaissance, including a renewal of the Hebrew language and a shaking off of religious oppressiveness characteristic of traditional learning in the yeshivot and houses of study of Europe.

The Israeli university reflected Zionist ideals. It maintained the continuity between the traditions of the past and the country taking form in the present without foregoing the secular-pioneer mission of building a sovereign independent state without waiting for divine intervention.

Plagued by self-hatred
However, as enlightened freedom of thought is replaced by a politically correct agenda, over-emphasis of secular anti-religion remains and paves the way for self-hating revisionism.

For instance, one of the “new historians” “proved’ that Jewish self-awareness as a nation and their continued connection to the Land of Israel are inventions meant to justify Zionist ideology retroactively. A well-known archeologist, who was awarded a prestigious award, regurgitated this claim and applied it to biblical times. According to him, the kingdom of David and Solomon never existed and was only invented to justify control of the Palestinian territories with a claim of historic right. A third “new historian” went far enough to say that the Jewish people are an invention, saying that Jews are all converts from other nations.

With this kind of curriculum to rely on, it is no wonder that students are staying away from Jewish university studies.
