OR318 Nominated for a ThinkSocial Award – Help Us by Voting!

October 29th, 2009Fatima (Saudi Arabia)

We are happy to report that one of our projects, OR318 (March18.org) has been nominated for a ThinkSocial Award. The March 18 Movement was created in memory of Omid Reza Mir Sayafi, an Iranian blogger who died in Evin Prison on March 18, 2009. He is the first blogger to die in prison. The Movement advocates for free speech and calls for an end to all persecution of bloggers who dare speak their mind in closed societies.

The 30 final nominees for the ThinkSocial award were selected for “outstanding innovation” and representing a “powerful model for how social media can be used to address global problems.”

Public voting is open until midnight on November 2nd. Please help us by casting your vote for OR318 here.

  1. For all the MidEast Youth proud members out there;

    If you didn’t sign up, your votes WILL NOT count!

    Sign up in less than 1 minute, no email confirmation needed. And then give all the three votes to the only OR318!

    We’re 571 votes now, and ranked 2nd! Can we do it?!

    We still have more than 36 hours left!

    Spread the word!
