Ehsan Fattahian was Hanged this Morning in Iran
According to several reports from Iran, Ehsan Fattahian was executed early this morning in Sanandaj Central Prison.
The mobilization of people to this effort has been amazing. Within a couple of days, over 10,000 people signed an online petition calling to stop the execution. Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and several Iranian human rights organizations issued statements calling to halt the execution. However, from the moment the date of Ehsan’s execution was set, only the head of the Judiciary, Sadeq Ardeshir Larijani, could stop the execution. Larijani let this young man die despite being innocent.
Ehsan was executed for his political activities for the Kurdish minority in Iran. Despite being tortured, Ehsan refused to admit to participating in an armed struggle against the Iranian regime. His first sentence, exile for ten years, shows that the regime didn’t see him as serious threat. Only during the appeal process was he declared as an “enemy of God” and sentenced to execution. It is not only morally wrong to execute someone for wanting to be free, but it is also illegal, since international law makes it clear that all humans have the right to self determination.
This execution is just another tool in the Iranian regime’s mechanism of repression against the Kurdish minority. The Kurds in Iran are victims of arbitrary arrests, denial of education, denial of cultural expression, executions, raids, and denial of many other human rights.

Very sad! This is not the first time Iranian regime executes freedom fighters in Iran. During the last 30 yeras thousands of brave Iranians (persians, kurds, azeris, turkmens, …) have been executed, jailed and tourtured by these tyranns.
This cruel regime should know that:

This man was not killed because of his actions as a Kurdish freedom fighter. The Iranian judiciary was quite content to sentence him to 10 years for those actions of his. However, the real reason they killed him was because they declared him an “enemy of god”. The poor man was an atheist. That is why they killed him, as apostasy is punishable by death in the Islamic world. I wonder, if humans are so capable of offending “god”, why doesn’t he strike them down where they stand? Why do religious zealots feel the need to fill his/her place? Perhaps because they realize there is no god (or that god can’t be bothered), and therefore to protect their idiotic half-baked ideas, they must take matters into their own hands. Ehsan, you will be remembered.

Ehsan – your story, bravery and legacy will live in long after this bloody regime by Mullahs is wiped off from Iran. Their days are numbered and they know it. They are acting more violent than ever because they are desperate and feel their grip is slipping. They couldn’t break you with all of their tortures.
Iran lost another nobel son today. No matter what region you live, you are sons and daughters of Iran. Ehsan was NOT inticing separatist movement. They wanted to make an example of him for his hunger strike and not cooperating with interrogators. It will only add more fuel to the fire of our hatred toward IRI.

اعدام احسان فتاحیان، جوان ۲۷ ساله کرد فقط برای وحشت انداختن هست و بس. با مرگ بر جمهوری اسلامی، روسیه، اسرائیل، آمریکا و یا آیتاللهها درد ایران و ایرانی درمان نخواهد شد. اینکه آیا این اسلام ناب محمدیست یا این آقایون مسلمان و یا اصلا ایرانی نیستند هم دردی را درمان نیست. واقعیت اینست که ما دانسته و یا ندانسته مملکت را به مشتی اراذل و اوباش دادیم. فعلا این آقایون سوارند و ما پیاده. مادامیکه سواری میدهیم توقع پیاده شدن آقایون و سوار شدن رو باید به گور ببریم! باید قبول کنیم که حکومتها حتی همین جمهوری اسلامی قدرت خودشون رو از مردم میگیرند. گاه با زور، گاه با پول، گاه با حقّه، و گاه با عوام فریبی، گاه با ….. مذهب فقط دکان عطار ایست و بس! هر عمل کثیف و شوم خودشون رو با اون توجیه میکنند و به خورد ما میدهند!
ببنید این ملایان از علی ابن ابوطالب نقل میکنند که “ابن ملجم قصد کشتن شما را دارد، اجازه دهید اورا دستگیر کنیم”. امام علی فرمودند، ” قصاص قبل از عمل؟ هیهات!” خوب، گیرم آقای احسان فتاحیان عضو کومله بود، ولی قتلی را که مرتکب نشده بود؟ کشتن آقای احسان فتاحیان قصاص قبل از عمل نیست؟ یا شما مسلمان نیستید که به علی گوش کنید، و یا دروغ میگویید، واین نقل قول امام علی نیست و فقط برای عوام فریبیست! در هر دو حالت با کشتن آقای احسان فتاحیان شما آخوندها چوب دو سر نجس از آب درآمدید. کسی که به ۱۰ سال زندان محکوم شده بود، چطور شبانه به اعدام محکوم میشود؟
هموطن، اگر به ایرانیان میاندیشی، اگر قلبت برای ایران میطپد، اگر نگران آینده فرزندت هستی، کافیست با این رژیم تحت هیچ شرایطی همکاری نکنید. بله، از امروز عهد کنید سواری موقوف! لازم نیست با زور اسلحه آزادی را طلبید. نگاهی به گاندی رهبر هند بیندازید! من از خودم شروع کردم، شما چطور؟ بله، قطره قطره جم گردد، وانگهی دریا شود. به امید دریا.

Such sad news. Eshan’s example of living every breath in the name of freedom of expression and religion is a great reminder to us all. May he rest in peace.

This is a sad story indeed. My heartfelt condolences go out to his Ehsan’s friends and family.
Ehsan was murdered for being an “enemy of God.” The real enemies of God here are his murderers. If God, in His wisdom, chose to create us, then when we kill one another, without justification, aren’t we in effect spitting at God’s face?
We were put on this good earth to live, not to kill, and not to die, before our time.
Ehsan was a brave young man, who stood for what he believed until the very end, and who inspires us to do the same. His memory will live on, even as his oppressors begin to fade away.
Such a sad story for such a brave man…. it is unbelievable what is going on on Earth !!!
The assassins are criminals whoever they where… I can’t understand how a whole state stands to kill a single freeminded person who just want to get free !!!
I cant imagine, it is too sad… why in God’s sake we kill???

To kill people because of their belief or unbelief in God is absolutely evil.
I wonder whether Larijani etc. realize that they are like priests of Moloch or Baal, or the bloodthirsty Aztec cults.
