The first anniversary of Mideast Youth Arabic

by

We commemorate the first anniversary of Mideast Youth Arabic this December 2009.

A year of Mideast Youth Arabic has never witnessed one single moderated letter, or a deleted comment, or a censored entry, regardless of the harsh criticism we received sometimes, but simply we believe in what we’re doing. In addition, that we’re completely aware that the fine line between criticism and unjustifiable attack can’t be seen by naked eyes sometimes. Especially for who’re taking part in the debate. Our policy in Mideast Youth Arabic is plain at this area, as we support unmoderated, unedited, and uncensored freedom of speech. Our tagline isn’t yet another shallow slogan. We do speculate vertically in-depth of future thinking!

The authors of Mideast Youth Arabic vary in aspects of their background, culture, orientations, and their positions on political spectrum. And this creates, when accompanied to absolute freedom of speech, a hygienic medium of tolerance, which we really lack both in real life, and maybe over the internet which is stacked with oriented opinion websites. Mideast Youth Arabic is completely neutral in terms of nationality, politics, economics, and religion. However every individual author is completely free to write what they believe in, ranging from politics, economics, religion, literature, poem, arts, to even sports. And from local remotest area in the Middle East to the hectic life of Cairo, Dubai, Amman, Beirut, Tehran, and Jerusalem. We even extended our blogs to cover events and incidents outside the Middle East, to countries who have similar conditions, and to events which have direct or indirect influence of the Middle East.

The followers of Mideast Youth Arabic have indeed realised the major updates which took place at the website in the last three months, the active authors, and the frequent blogs, which reached the last month to 43 blogs. The updates will not quit, we’re working now on even more and more major updates, both for the Standard Edition, or the Mobile Edition. In addition to the Arabicast which will launch later.

Mideast Youth Arabic isn’t another yet translated “version” of the English website. Mideast Youth Arabic unique, independent, and creative. Non-centralism is a policy practised over the Mideast Youth network as whole. We’re proud that the absolute majority of our authors, and maybe all the active authors are creative writers and bloggers who write their own views about the Middle East from their own perspective, and don’t see it by the eyes of politicians, news agencies, or the overrated Nilesat media. We’re proud that we’re a part of Mideast Youth foundation, but even more proud that we have our unique identity.

I thank, on behalf of more than 80 authors, everyone in Mideast Youth for their continuous support to the Arabic website, which made us in this leading position in an ideal length of time.
