yes ,it is shame that we still treat people like this ,few months ago there was a big campaign on improving workers conditions but such efforts need for more lobby and work ,

The Bible tells the story of the Tower of Babel. The people of the day decided to build a tower so high, that it would reach up to God. And God saw this, and as the tower went up, he confused the language that the people spoke to one another, and no one could understand the other. With all this confusion in place, the tower could not be built right, and eventually came tumbling down.

I think that there is a lesson for us here, as is true with many Biblical stories. If the government, and the businesspeople involved, mistreated the workers, by underpaying them, and by allowing their living conditions to deteriorate, then they didn't really share a common "language." They didn't really understand one another, because how could you really claim to understand another person if you intentionally allow them to suffer, and if you are complicit in that suffering. And therefore, if we continue to abuse one another in this way, and if we continue ignoring one another, for the sake of the vanities we choose to pursue, then our civilization will eventually crumble, not unlike the Tower of Babel.
