and what the gasoline sanction might have to do with allegedly nuclear ambitions has always been a poetic mystery to me. West has indeed made serious mistakes in its evaluation of Iranin Version of Politics.

Hamid I support smart sanctions but this note is about the recent news
The House of Representatives approved legislation on Tuesday to impose sanctions on foreign companies that help supply gasoline to Iran, a move lawmakers hope will deter Tehran from pursuing its nuclear program.

Hamid of course I have exaggerated the case and Saddam regime had a harsher sanctions for one decade. Remember Iraq occupied Kuwait and Iran is developing a peaceful nuclear program. There is no evidence that Iran is producing nuclear arms.
I think we Iranians should be responsible to aware international community, President Obama is very popular and if he orders for more sanctions that may hurt ordinary Iranians still no one wants to react!

I've heard that the sanctions would be only directed at specific individuals and the IRGC, and their assets. I'm pretty sure that those type of sanctions wouldn't have the same effect on Iranian children, as it did Iraq. Sanctions are sensitive subject, but I really don't know what other choice we have, dialogue hasn't worked, and the military option is definitely out of the question. The problem is that the only thing keeping certain people within the Islamic system in power is their wealth. If we attack that then then maybe the opposition will be able to go a foothold over the IRGC and such.
