About Me
At 16, Yara Wazir was one of the British Council's Global Changemakers. Later that year, she started The Green Initiative ME, which raises awareness about climate change through education and innovation. By 18, Wazir had expanded The Green Initaitive to 7 countries, spanning 3 continents. Wazir also became the a frequent speaker at regional and international high level conferences, and the youngest speaker at a regional World Economic Forum. Yara is a tree hugging, polar bear saving, high sea-level swimming, global warming recognising, coffee addict citizen of the Earth.
