The upcoming film Finding Bibi follows Bita Haidarian, an award-winning Iranian American filmmaker who knows more about MTV than Al Jazeera, as she sets off on a journey around the world to answer the big questions – who am I, where do I come from, and where can a girl find a good laser hair removalist? Finding Bibi smashes worldwide stereotypes about women in the Middle East and is simultaneously a clarion call for the emancipation of women around the world. But we need your help to finish it. Learn how you can help below.
A Film to Inspire, an Organization to Act
Finding Bibi is a film about identity and understanding, irreverence and purposeful rebellion. Driven by that spirit, we’re preparing to launch the Finding Bibi Project, an organization using humor, film, new media & more to kick down cultural barriers & bring together diverse women to exchange stories & knowledge with each other and the world.
We want you to help us make this vision a reality. Fan us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, subscribe to blog posts, then share it all with your friends. We also want to hear your side of the story – what is inspiring you, pissing you off, making you laugh – about straddling two cultures, about being a woman seeking empowerment or a guy trying to make things right. Most importantly, voice your support by donating to help us finish Finding Bibi, a film that changes everything.
