A couple of weeks ago, we spoke with Jennifer Jajeh, creator and performer of I Heart Hamas: And Other Things I’m Afraid to Tell You, a one woman play that has stirred as much praise for its irreverent discussion of identity as it has controversy for its name.

A Palestinian-American Christian, Jennifer caught our eye with this video trailer for the show:

Jennifer brings the show to Chicago from April 30-May 16 and Berkeley from May 27-28.

The podcast, which runs about 20 minutes, covers the play’s recent success in Minneapolis, sexist reactions to its title, her family’s response, her advice for young women and more.
