Free the New Youth 4
November 06, 2007
We, the undersigned, petition the Chinese government to release
Jin Haike
(靳海科),
Xu Wei
(徐伟),
Yang Zili
(杨子立) and
Zhang Honghai
(张宏海) who on May 28, 2003 were sentenced to between eight and ten years for the crime of "subverting state power." We believe that as China continues on the path of openness and reform, it must allow its citizens to speak freely and openly, as provided by law in the Chinese Constitution which states "Citizens of the People's Republic of China enjoy freedom of speech, of the press, of assembly, of association, of procession and demonstration." -
