On December 10th the United Nations will mark its annual anniversary for International Human Rights Day and upholding the Article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that protects and promotes the basis to human rights worldwide.
This year’s theme is dedicated to End Discrimination. Human rights defenders are targeting societal structures that permit discrimination and violence to exist. In light of the discrimination inherent in Iran the international community has applied targeted sanctions to key Iranian officials responsible for these abuses.
Many events have been arranged to highlight the human rights crisis in various societies. Special celebrations will be hosted to support the Iranians struggle for basic rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
